Will there be PS5 deals on Black Friday?

This year's Black Friday PS5 deals are nearly upon us, but will there be any discounts worth shouting about in 2025? The short answer is it's highly likely we'll see some savings on Sony's console in November. The PS5 has been a fixture of the sales event year in and year out, whether it's been discounts on the console itself or on its many games and accessories. Even now, while we're still weeks away from the big day, retailers across the US and UK are already dropping sales on just about everything to do with the Sony pixel-pushing beast.

There's a price hike elephant in the room, though. On August 21, the PS5 Slim disc and digital edition, and the PS5 Pro all saw price increases in the US. While originally both models of the Slim were $500 and $450, respectively, they're now $50 more. Additionally, the already pricey Pro model went from $700 to $750, making it even more of a tough buy. Typically, Black Friday is ideal for PS5 bundle deals, but they weren't spared from the price increases either, so any incoming price drops may be price ranges we'd not have bothered to bring to anyone's attention last year.

Will there be PS5 game deals this Black Friday?

From the early days of Sackboy: A Big Adventure and Spider-Man: Miles Morales, through to recent blockbusters like Death Stranding 2 On The Beach and Ghost of Yotei, we're expecting to see a massive range of discounts hitting all kinds of software this year.

Those earlier launch titles may well see the brunt of this year's Black Friday PS5 game deals. With another year under their belts, and rare discounts during that time, we're looking at $20 - $40 sale prices on these once heavy hitters.

However, if you've already played through the early days of PS5, newer releases are set to offer up some strong savings as well. We've already seen recent titles taking larger price cuts in recent weeks; Borderlands 4, Ghost of Yotei, and NBA 2K26 have all seen their fair share of major discounts over the last few months.

Will there be discounts on PS5 SSDs this Black Friday?

Black Friday PS5 SSD deals are going to be tricky this year. Ever since the console opened up its internal storage bay for tinkerers in 2021, we've seen brands like Samsung, WD Black, and Crucial upgrading their tailor-made offerings frequently. The bad news is the shelves aren't what they used to be. Whereas we could confidently say there would have been PS5 SSD deals over Black Friday a couple of years ago, times are tough in this space. It's been a long time since these sticks took significant price cuts - they're often on the shelves for far more than their previous record-low prices, even during larger events like last year's Black Friday and Prime Day. Things are going to be tight this year, so it's worth keeping a close eye on your favorites in the lead up.

Will there be Black Friday deals on PS5 accessories?

We're expecting some record low prices on accessories launched alongside the PS5 console and since then. That means some of the best PS5 headsets will likely see some significant discounts over the next few weeks. These cups have been on the shelves for years now, and have competition in newer releases building on their original offerings with lower price tags. That's a perfect storm for some blockbuster discounts on headsets like the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless, so we'd recommend keeping a close eye out for Black Friday gaming headset deals.

Already, one of our top PS5 headset picks, like the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5 Wireless, has dropped to $110.99, a $39 saving off its $149.99 MSRP. It's not a record-low deal, but it's still a nice indicator of the headset deals to come. Excitement is also abuzz when it comes to controllers.

The DualSense Edge has been a little stubborn when it comes to price drops and is rarely seen lower than its $199.99 MSRP. However, with just weeks before the return of this year's sales, the premium gamepad is $15 off at retailers like Walmart, a saving I hope continues to grow. If you aren't too fussed about grabbing a fist-party pad, there's bound to be discounts on the best PS5 controllers from third-party brands too. The Victrix Pro BFG is our team's go-to PS5 controller, and the white model is already $80 off at retailers like Amazon on the lead up to November 28. It does miss out on the patented haptic tech, but it's still a worthwhile pickup thanks to its customizable and modular design.

We're rounding up all the Black Friday gaming deals we're expecting to see in November, including Black Friday Xbox deals and Black Friday Nintendo Switch deals if you're between consoles.
