We're heading towards the second round of Sony's PS5 30th Anniversary restocks this week, with that previous window of PS Plus exclusivity coming to an end today. This is the day the PS5 Slim, DualSense, and Portal (if you're in the UK, the US is only seeing restocks of the controller) return to the shelves once again, and this time it's open season for everyone.
At the moment, I'm still seeing everything in stock in the UK, though you'll need to sign in to grab it. Meanwhile the 30th Anniversary DualSense remains out of stock in the US, just like yesterday.
There's a light at the end of the tunnel if you're in the States this week, though. With the lifting of that PS Plus exclusivity, we could well see more retailers getting involved in the action. I'd keep a close eye on Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy as standard but watch over Target and GameStop as well.
I was there when the PS5 first dropped, and I've seen hundreds of thousands of people through restocks of hard-to-find gadgets in the five years since then. I covered the original 30th Anniversary Edition release from pre-orders all the way up to launch day, but have been flexing my stock-hunting muscles more recently by hunting down any Nintendo Switch 2 handhelds on the shelves.
Buy PlayStation 30th Anniversary Edition in the US

Sony DualSense PS5 30th Anniversary Edition | £69.99 at PS Direct The 30th Anniversary DualSense might be in higher demand than the PS5 console itself. After all, you're not investing in a whole new gadget, simply grabbing a nod to the past for a far more affordable £70.
PlayStation Portal | £209.99 at PS Direct The PlayStation Portal has also now joined the DualSense and PS5 on these limited edition shelves. If you've been holding out on the remote player for the exclusive skin, now's the time to take the leap.
You'll find both the PS5 DualSense and Slim console available in full 30th Anniversary Edition regalia on PS Direct's shelves right now, so be sure to sign in with your PS Plus account to ferry yours to checkout.
And here's the PlayStation Portal
The Portal has also joined today's PlayStation 30th Anniversary restock, with the light gray retro colorway hitting the shelves at £209.99. That's a tenner more than the standard handheld, but those nostalgic vibes are more than worth it.
Will other retailers offer more stock later in the week?

Today's PlayStation 30th Anniversary restock is limited to PS Plus members only, which means you're unlikely to find any gadgets on alternative retail sites. If stock runs low, it's well worth checking in with the likes of Amazon and Very, but I'm holding out hope for Wednesday.
That's when the floor is opened up to non-subscribers, and could be when third party stores are allowed to open up their warehouses.
Not got PS Plus?
Of course, if you're not a PS Plus member you can always hedge your bets with Wednesday's 30th Anniversary stock drop. It might be safer to grab a subscription, though.
The cheapest tier sits at £6.99 / $9.99 per month and will give you access to today's stock drop and allow for online play, free monthly titles, and some neat in-game features as well.
PlayStation 30th Anniversary stock is still holding out in the UK's drop, with PS Direct continuing to offer the console, DualSense, and Portal over an hour and a half after it all went live.
That's impressive considering the speed at which all this tech sold out last year. Folk are either less jazzed about this retro colorway in 2025 or Sony has been hard at work pumping out new devices.

Where's the DualSense Edge?

The only 30th Anniversary controller on Sony's shelves right now is the regular DualSense, there's no Edge stock heading our way today. That's great news for anyone who doesn't need the fancier features of the Pro gamepad, but if you were holding off on the premium pad in the hopes of a retro design you're going to be disappointed today.
No hoarding
PS Direct in both the US and UK has a strict one-item-per-customer rule in place for today's PS Plus restocks, and with good reason. While resellers can get around regular restock restrictions in normal conditions, the need for that PS Plus membership could be the reason we're seeing stock holding out so well right now.
Just over two hours to go until US restocks hit
The PlayStation 30th Anniversary DualSense will be available to pre-order from PS Direct at 7am PT today, that's just over two hours away. As with this morning's UK drops, you'll need to be a PS Plus member to take advantage of this restock.
Don't expect more stock at wider retailers today
Once again, today's PlayStation 30th Anniversary restock is a PS Direct exclusive so I wouldn't expect to see any new stock from the likes of Walmart, Best Buy, or Target in the US or Currys, Very, or Argos in the UK. Still, this morning's UK drop is still holding out surprisingly well so PS Direct already has us covered.
How to make the most of the US restock
The US will see its own PlayStation 30th Anniversary restock in just over an hour's time. I'm expecting this stock to move much quicker, as it's just the DualSense controller returning to the shelves across the pond. You'll need to be a PS Plus member to have at this stock, so I'd definitely start by signing into your account ahead of time.
Once you're in, make sure your payment and delivery details are all up to date and saved in the system. Making your way through checkout needs to be as fast as possible when the time comes, and adding these details takes precious seconds.
Just as a reminder, this will be a PS Direct exclusive for the first two days so this is the only link you'll need.
The UK is still enjoying a solid restock with the Portal, DualSense, and PS5 console all still available from PS Direct. That's lasting much longer than I thought it would, with no signs of website crashes or slow-downs.
US stock is landing in less than ten minutes
The US will enjoy its own PlayStation 30th Anniversary restocks at 10am ET / 7am PT, in less than ten minutes time. That means you'll need to be heading to PS Direct now and readying that refresh button - this one might move fast.
It looks like Sony is already feeling the heat, with a queue system activated on the 30th Anniversary DualSense product page. I've just checked in and found myself having to complete a captcha before being placed in the line, which now seems to be paused?

It's now officially 7am PT / 10am ET, which means the 30th Anniversary DualSense is back on the shelves. PS Direct's queue system remains in full force, but could well un-pause now that the clock has ticked over. Be sure to get in there early and don't waste any time once you're through.
Some odd behavior at PS Direct
I'm still held in a paused line, which is odd considering it's now five minutes past go-time. A yellow bar offers some encouragement, but it hasn't budged an inch since I first landed on the page shortly before 10am ET.

Everything's up and running, and the PlayStation 30th Anniversary DualSense is back in stock. This one could well speed off the shelves considering it's been out of stock for months on end at this point.

If you're struggling to lock down your 30th Anniversary DualSense order, it's worth double checking you're using an account with a PS Plus subscription attached. You'll need to be a member to have access to this early stock ahead of that September 9 release date.
US stock is still holding out
It's been 40 minutes, but I'm still able to add the 30th Anniversary DualSense to my cart and head to checkout. That means things look to be holding out a little longer than I expected, though considering how much stock the UK had in store this morning it's perhaps not too surprising.
Everything's still live in both regions
Both the US and UK has PlayStation 30th Anniversary kit on the shelves right now. That's a turn up for the books.
Not only did these limited editions sell out exceedingly quickly when they first landed last year, but they've generally been unavailable every since.
Sign in issues are still holding some back
I've just tried to add the DualSense 30th Anniversary controller to my basket in my most recent check and have been stung by the 'sign in to buy' loop.
The site is seemingly struggling to get all its users logged in in time to grab this PS Plus only restock.
Keep trying to sign in if you're having difficulty
I'm still seeing the 'sign in to buy' button on the US PS Direct store page, so even if you're having trouble getting your account sorted it's still worth trying. This is a competitive restock in the US, with no other 30th Anniversary gadgets making their way back to the shelves.
What a day for PlayStation fans
With the UK still enjoying bountiful stock of all three limited edition 30th Anniversary PS5 drops today, and the US slowly recovering from its login issues (things still look active from my last check), it's been a surprisingly strong day for PlayStation fans.
I was expected those shelves to be barren after release, but it looks like Sony stocked up with plenty to go around for this second chance.
The UK is still in stock
In a surprise twist, I'm still seeing stock for the PlayStation 30th Anniversary console, controller, and handheld in the UK. Of course, you'll need to be a PS Plus member to grab these devices (only for one more day, though).
That's still impressive - none of these limited editions have been regularly on the shelves all year, and they're still holding out nicely.
We could see more retailers join the fray today
You won't need to be a PS Plus member to take part in this PlayStation 30th Anniversary restock today, which means we could see more retailers taking part. That PS Direct exclusivity is still listed on Sony's store page in the UK this morning, though.

Landing on those listing pages for the 30th Anniversary PS5 Slim, DualSense, and Portal may be confusing right now. You no longer need to be a PS Plus member to add these to your cart, but you do need to sign into a Sony account. Thankfully, that's free if you don't yet have a console and you'll have one anyway if you're just picking up accessories for your PS5.
UK is still swimming in stock
Despite opening up to non-PS Plus members, the UK is still enjoying bountiful PlayStation 30th Anniversary stock. Everything is still holding onto its position on the shelves right now, but who knows how long that'll last. After all, the DualSense controller sold out on day one in the US and hasn't returned since.
Looks like we're sticking with PS Direct
Other retailers haven't listed any 30th Anniversary PS5 stock yet, so it looks like - while you don't need PS Plus anymore - today's restock is still exclusive to PS Direct. The good news is everything's still available in the UK, the bad news is it's looking unlikely that we'll see another round of availability on that DualSense in the US.
PS Direct's latest restock in the US has come to an end
PS Direct had the 30th Anniversary DualSense on the shelves for a minute there, but all I'm seeing now is a 'currently unavailable' sign. It's still listed on the shelves, though, so we could see more waves of availability.
The UK is still going
Unbelievably, all three PlayStation 30th Anniversary special editions are still in stock in the UK today. I'm not seeing other retailers jumping in as hoped, but the DualSense, Portal, and PS5 are still on the shelves at PS Direct.
