It's been a very busy year for gaming controller releases, regardless of the platform you play on. I've reviewed new Xbox controllers, new gamepads for the Switch 2, plenty of funky PC controllers, and even a new PS5 pro controller. But Black Friday is here, and whether you're shopping for some early Christmas presents for the young gamer in your life, or for a new accessory for your own setup, I know exactly the ones you should look out for.

So here's how it'll work. To make things as easy as possible for you, I've put my favorite Black Friday controller deals right below this, choosing one for each platform. I've also used the quick links section to help you shop some of my other top picks quickly, but if you want to get more in-depth recommendations, I'll be updating this with live posts as I shop alongside you over the next few days. Those posts are where I'll tell you a bit more about each gamepad, and give you more reasons I think it could be a good pick for you. Let's get started.

I've been reviewing controllers non-stop for three years now. I know each brand and manufacturer behind each set of buttons, and between January and July of this year, I reviewed more than 10 controllers across different platforms. I know that a lot of these accessories can be pricey, so I'm always going to try and help your hard earned and carefully saved cash go as far as possible by finding good deals and giving you genuine recommendations to help you get the gamepad you want.

Victrix Pro BFG (White) | $179.99 $99.99 at Amazon
Save $60 - Having been down to $119 last week, the BFG for PS5 has taken an even deeper cut to below $100, which I never expected to see. This is the cheapest any version of this controller has ever been, and it's more affordable than the black model, which had a record-low price of $130 going into Thanksgiving Week.

DualSense Wireless Controller | $74.99 $54 at Walmart
Save $21 - Why go complicated when you can go classic? The DualSense Wireless controller saw a price increase this year, so this $54 rate isn't an absolute record-low. Still, it's the best price I've seen since that MSRP rose.

PC really has the best of all worlds, because all of the above controllers are compatible with Windows, but if I had to pick just one controller deal this year I think most PC players would benefit from, it'd likely be this one.

Nacon's PS5 controller is on sale as well

Nacon Revolution 5 Pro in the reviewer's hand

(Image credit: Future / Duncan Robertson)

I mentioned Nacon's Revolution X Unlimited Xbox controller earlier today, but if you're a PS5 player there's no need to feel left out. The Nacon Revolution 5 Pro is also seeing some solid discounts. This time we're heading to Best Buy for a record-low $119.99 sales price on the pro gamepad. This is one for those hunting down comfort as a priority, not those who hate looser sticks.

PSA: The DualSense Edge was $10 cheaper last week

DualSense Edge controller

Something odd happened just last week. Out of nowhere, the DualSense Edge dropped all the way down to $159.99, straight from full price. That was a record-low price, but it jumped back up the scale a little a few days later. That's where we find ourselves now.

On the face of it, this $30 discount down to $169.99 is pretty good. The Edge is rarely discounted at all, and you're saving enough to pick up an extra game in other Black Friday offers. If you've been eyeing it up for a while it's worth seeing what it does tomorrow, though.

TMR thumbsticks for less than $50

The GameSir Cyclone 2 review on its charging stand

(Image credit: Future / Duncan Robertson)

The GameSir Cyclone 2 is one of the best value PC controllers I've tested so far, and a lot of that comes down to its TMR thumbsticks. You'll normally have to go slightly further up the price scale to grab that feature, but the Cyclone comes well stocked as standard. That's not even mentioning the Switch 2 compatibility.

Shopping under $30? Here's my top pick

EasySMX X10 controller in white on a wooden table

The EasySMX X10 could have been a far more expensive controller. Hall effect thumbsticks, snappy mechanical face buttons, and 2.4GHz PC and Nintendo Switch support makes for a compelling feature set, and it still only sits at around $50 day to day. That's all changed in Black Friday controller deals, though. Now you'll find it for well under its previous record-low.

This wireless controller is now available for just $26.79 on Amazon's shelves, where we were previously only holding out for a $29.99 sales price.

This record-low on Razer's best controller yet is still holding on

A closer look at the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro review in its case

(Image credit: Future / Duncan Robertson)

Razer has released a number of gamepads in its life, but the Wolverine V3 Pro is the best of the bunch. This is a premium wireless controller with plenty of additional buttons at your disposal; two extra bumpers and four back buttons that actually stay accurate in-use. Throw in the brand's classic speedy buttons and plethora of gadgets included in the box and you're getting a fantastic set of clickers.

Amazon has the Wolverine V3 Pro down to a record-low $159.99 this week. That's $10 cheaper than it was in early Black Friday controller deals last week. Impressive, considering I've only seen these kinds of savings in the last few weeks.

This Xbox controller is stacked with extra features

The Nacon Revolution X Unlimited review lying next to its charging stand

(Image credit: Future / Duncan Robertson)

The Nacon Revolution X Unlimited is $50 off at Amazon, and it just so happens to be one of my favorites. It's a premium gamepad, sitting about as expensive as Xbox controllers go at full MSRP. Thankfully, we're down to $149.99 in this week's Black Friday controller deals.

It's a super comfortable pad with some of the best face buttons I've used so far. That's not to mention the six extra controls at your disposal and the charging stand included in the box. Yeah, the screen is a little underutilized and the stick toppers could be of a higher quality, but that's still solid for under $150.

Want a PlayStation feel for PC for less than the cost of a DualSense Edge?

The GameSir Tarantula Pro's facial components

(Image credit: Future / Duncan Robertson)

If you're playing on PC these days but you want a traditional PlayStation feel, the GameSir Tarantula has a pretty nostalgic outlook. It's modelled off the PS4's DualShock 4 controller, but gives you symmetrical TMR thumbsticks, two back buttons, a slew of customization features, and a bunch of extra face buttons.

I really love the Tarantula Pro. As a fan of GameSir, and a massive fan of the DualShock 4, this is one of my favorite controllers of recent years. Its price also puts the DualSense Edge to shame (even with the discount I pointed you toward a minute ago).

If you've been wanting a DualSense Edge, please don't miss this chance

DualSense Edge review image showing the controller standing up against a pink PS5

(Image credit: Future / Duncan Robertson)

The DualSense Edge is Sony's homemade pro controller for the PS5, and since it launched in 2023, its price has been stupidly and frustratingly stubborn.

I could probably count the times this thing has had a discount with one hand, and most of those have really only been $10 drops.

Best Buy in the US is currently listing the Edge (in both white and black) at $179.99, which is so much more reasonable. If this has been on your list for a while, I'd take this opportunity while you can.

I really do think this is an excellent controller - it's just a real shame it doesn't give you more for its price. It's very easy to find cheaper or similarly priced gamepads that offer four back buttons over the Edge's 2, and the choice to not put anti-drift thumbsticks in this was certainly a choice. Either way, it's one I'd recommend, and maybe one of the comfiest controllers this generation.

Controllers with screens are usually a gimmick, but this one bucks that trend

A reviewer holding the Manba One controller

(Image credit: Future / Duncan Robertson)

Seriously, it might sound cool for a controller to have an interactive screen on it, but 90% of the time, that ends up being a bit of a useless gimmick that will have you asking, "Why did I pay more for this?"

The Manba One is one of my favorite gamepads of 2025. It has a fairly chunky screen on it, as you'll see from the image above, and while that might seem like an inconvenience, it actually gives you all the customization power that all the other pro controllers need a totally separate bit of PC software in order to equal.

Even without the big screen, this controller gets the basics right. It's perfectly comfortable, has four back buttons, Hall effect sticks, a charging stand, some swappable thumbsticks, and all in all, a great feel across loads of gaming genres.
