I've handpicked the 19 best early Black Friday deals for gamers: PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox and PC discounts actually worth it this week
All the biggest early Black Friday deals you should grab before Thanksgiving Week
Early Black Friday deals are in full swing now, and the heat has been turned up over the last couple of days. Already-solid discounts are giving way to new record-low prices and Sony's due to launch its own official offers today as well. All that comes before Nintendo drops its savings on Sunday, and Thanksgiving week truly gets going.
I generally see early Black Friday deals dropping the prices of all kinds of PS5, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Xbox accessories as early as October, but it's this moment right now when the heat cranks up a notch. Between Best Buy, Walmart, and Amazon, I'm seeing retailers dropping some record-low prices already this week - this trick is knowing the true discounts from the so-so ones.
There are a lot of duff offers out there at this time of year, and you shouldn't be fooled by a standard strikethrough price on a retail page. Some stores will even raise prices just to drop them again during the main event, so it can be harder than ever to spot a genuine discount. If you stick with our live updates, though, you'll get a direct feed of genuine offers, insights based on hours of testing, and general advice that will help you find the right discounts to suit your needs. Simply put, you're not going to miss a thing if you stick with us leading up to the sale.

Deals were my entire job when I started at our sister site TechRadar, devoting my day to day to finding the biggest discounts around. Now I'm at GamesRadar+ I have another tool in my arsenal; real hands-on experience. I personally specialize in gaming laptops, Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, mice, keyboards, and tablets, but I'm also pulling from the entire GamesRadar+ Hardware team's strengths to only highlight the very best gizmos on this page.

Save $40 - This is a firm favorite whenever major sales roll around, and early Black Friday deals aren't letting us down this week. The Razer Basilisk V3 isn't $70 anymore, but it does shift between $40 and $50 day to day. I generally only see this $35 position during bigger events.

Save $560 - My go-to gaming laptop from the latest generation, the HP Omen Max 16 is $560 off at Best Buy this week. That means you're grabbing an OLED RTX 5080 configuration for $2,599.99 a week ahead of Black Friday.
When is Black Friday this year?
Black Friday officially lands on November 28 this year, but we're well into the savings season now. Retailers like Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, and more have all launched their early discounts which means there's already plenty to check out.
Should you wait for official Black Friday deals?
The short answer is; sometimes. If a product is at or near its lowest ever price it's generally worth jumping on early, especially if it's a relatively recent release or doesn't see discounts regularly. In these situations, I generally don't see too many additional savings come Black Friday itself.
Unless you're at that record-low, though, it's always worth waiting and seeing what the end of the month has in store. If something has already been cheaper before, it's likely it will drop again when the heat is really on.

One of Phil's go-to handhelds is $15 off
The Super Pocket is a regular round here, the cartridge-based Evercade handheld is a frequent flyer during sales events and scored particularly well when Phil reviewed it a couple of years ago.
Amazon has it down to $54.99 right now, $15 off the $69.99 MSRP - excellent news for any retro fans looking to maintain that all-important physical collection.

Astro Bot's biggest discount is here
Astro Bot is one of my all-time favorite PS5 games, but it's been pretty resistant to discounts in its year on the shelves so far. Winning so many awards will do that to a game, but Amazon's sorted us with a $20 discount this week.
That means you'll find the platformer available for $39.97 right now - where I've previously generally only seen $10 or so off.

The Nova Pro Wireless is cheaper, but could still drop again
The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless is now down to $289.99 at Amazon, and I've been watching those numbers like a hawk. This is a $350 headset day to day, and it shot back up to full MSRP very recently. That's a classic Amazon trick before discounts fully begin, but even this drop is still a little weak for true deal hunters.
The Nova Pro Wireless has been as cheap as $229.99 this year, and can be spotted at around $250 during a particularly good sale. If Black Friday goes the way we want it to, this is where you should be aiming.

My favorite low profile gaming keyboard just dropped under $100
The Asus ROG Falchion RX Low Profile is the keyboard that finally turned my head to these shorter caps. It's been heavily discounted over the last few months, dropping as low as $139.99 in previous sales, but Amazon just took things a step further.
You'll now find it available for $99.99 on these virtual shelves, the first time I've ever seen it go below $100 and a brand new record-low price. If you're after a soft, smooth typing experience in a compact form factor that doesn't sacrifice dedicated media controls, that's an offer you'll want to investigate.

Sony's official PS5 Black Friday deals are now live
Sony has just launched its own official Black Friday PS5 deals, with discounts on consoles, accessories, and games alike. There's a whole bunch on offer now (Rosalie's dropped all the details right here), but three standout offers for me sit on two consoles and one handheld.
The PS5 Pro saw a price increase to $749 this year, but it's $100 less than that right now. That puts us $50 below the $699 launch price from release day. Meanwhile, the standard disc-friendly console has seen a similar discount, dropping from its new $549.99 MSRP to $449.99. That's still $50 less than it was before those price increases took over.
PS5 Pro | $749 $649 at PS Direct
PS5 Slim | $549.99 $449.99 at PS Direct
Then we have the PS Portal. This remote player is almost never on sale, and even Best Buy's renewed stock has leapt up in price over the last few days. It's seeing a solid $20 discount in this week's offers, though, dropping down to $179.99.
PS Portal | $199.99 $179.99 at PS Direct
An extra $50 off the my favorite gaming laptop of the year
The HP Omen Max 16 outperformed plenty of other machines in its class this year, all while offering a slick and sturdy matte white chassis. Not only that, but it's an additional $50 off its previous $2,649.99 sales price today, falling a full $560 from its $3,1569.99 MSRP.
That's the rate on the RTX 5080 configuration, with that full OLED display up top.

The DualSense Edge is back on sale, but I'd aim for another $10 off
The DualSense Edge was at $159.99 earlier this week, before jumping back up to full price over the last couple of days. Those numbers are starting to slide again this morning, but we're still $10 away from our previous record-low price.
If you don't want to rely on other software or onboard controls to customize a pro controller, you'll want to keep a close eye on this listing over the next week or so.

The Razer Blade 14 has dropped its price again
The RTX 5070 Razer Blade 14 has been on my radar for a few weeks now, dropping its $2,699.99 MSRP for an $1,899.99 sales price earlier in the month. That rate has slowly been dripping down the scale over the last week, and now sits at a solid $1,699.99. That's a decent price for any RTX 5070 rig, let alone one of the more premium chassis' on the market.
The Blade 14 is the thinnest the brand has released yet, but side by side there's not much in it compared to the previous generation. Instead, it's the OLED display that gives this rig its glow up.

Save an extra $5 on one of the year's best gaming mice
The Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE is the latest in a long line of MMO gaming mice, but this Stream Deck hybrid has far more uses outside of in-game macros. I've been using it for both work and play, and squeezing plenty out of those 12 side buttons for both uses, plus its shorter wider design makes for a comfortable hold as well.
This 2025 release dropped to $99.99 at the start of the week, then to $79.99 just yesterday. Now it's available for an extra $5 off, with a new record-low price of $74.99 in Amazon's Black Friday deals.

The Victrix Pro BFG is now under $100
This is our top PS5 controller and we were celebrating a $119.99 sales price just a few days ago. Now, the PDP Victrix Pro BFG has dropped under $100 for the first time ever at Amazon. That's a solid $80 discount on the original $179.99 MSRP - not bad considering the DUalSense Edge is $10 more than it was in last week's offers and still costs $170 all together.

The Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 is cheaper than ever
I was seeing the Asus ROG Zephyrus at $1,449 before prices went back up earlier in the week, but Best Buy has redeemed itself with a new $500 discount on the RTX 5060 configuration. That brings it down to just $1,299.99 in the brand's early Black Friday deals, $150 cheaper than ever before.
This is the kind of price I'd expect to see on a much cheaper chassis, but you're still getting a luxury build quality and sturdy portability in this machine. The G14 is a fan favorite for sure, but it's also one of the best machines I've tested so far this year.

PSA: The best PS5 controller is now under $100
I've been watching the white version of the Victrix Pro BFG get cheaper and cheaper for Black Friday this year, and while I knew the goal would be to get rid of stock to make way for a pricier reloaded model that just arrived, I didn't think it'd drop this far.
You can now get a fully modular Esports controller for PS5 and PC, with four back buttons, for $99 at Amazon. That's a controller that originally costs $179.99, and which Turtle Beach wants you to believe is worth $199. If you're in the market for a competitive gamepad, please consider this while you can get it for this price.
Victrix Pro BFG | $179.99 $99 at Amazon
The Xbox version is also seeing a pretty deep discount too, and if you play on PC, this model will give you rumble motors for added feedback...

Fractal Design's Scape Headset is as classy as an Apple device, and it's seeing its first-ever discount
Fractal Design (a maker of lots of excellent PC cases and components) branched out into the headset market this year with its excellent Fractal Scape gaming headset. I don't think this is quite the homerun that its first chair, the Fractal Refine, was, because it's missing a couple of bells and whistles that would have really helped it naturally compete at its $200 price point.
But in terms of pure audio quality, this is one of the best gaming headsets I've ever used, and its comfort level is up there too. Its RGB is soothing and its charging stand convenient - there really is a lot to love.
Right now, it's seeing its first-ever discount, and it's a fairly generous one too.
Fractal Scape | $199.99 $169.99 at Amazon
My PC case is back to its lowest-ever price
The NZXT H3 Flow PC case only came out this year, and it seems to have been pretty darn popular since it's not every day we get a new Micro ATX case. This size of PC is nice and convenient, fitting on a desk easily, as you can see in the image above, but it's conventional enough that you dodge a lot of the quirks that come with an even smaller ITX case.
This only launched this year, and it's fairly affordable anyway, so while $20 might not seem like a huge saving, this is a really decent deal that brings the H3 Flow back to its cheapest-ever price.
NZXT H3 Flow | $79.99 $59.99 at Best Buy
Sad news: that DualSense Edge deal is gone
I've just done another sift through our deals leaderboard up above, and sadly, that solid discount on the DualSense Edge has now disappeared, but I'll be keeping an eye out for it returning sometime next week. Until then, PC and Switch 2 players can still make the most of the discount below:
GameSir Tarantula Pro | $55.99 at Amazon
HP Omen 35L discounts are back at Best Buy
For the last few weeks, there have been some really decent early deals on HP Omen 35L gaming PCs over at Best Buy. In true week-before-Black-Friday fashion though, Best Buy removed a lot of those deals at the start of this week. I didn't expect them to return until Monday, but they're already popping up again.
Here are a few configurations I think are worth it at their current price:
- RTX 5060 / Ryzen 5 8400F: $879.99 at Best Buy
- RTX 5060 Ti / Ryzen 7 8700F: $1,199.99 at Best Buy

Delve too greedily and too deep
This is one for the LOTR / Tolkien fans among you. The keyboard I use every day is an Elvish Lord of the Rings deck made by Drop, and although the exact model I have is hard to come by right now, you can get the Dwarvish version with a big saving right now.
This isn't the best gaming keyboard out there, it's going to be more of a novelty/stylistic purchase for any big Tolkien nerds. But it's got some excellent mechanical typing feel for the money, and if you're not looking for the last word in speed and features, it'll do you just fine (once you get used to the Dwarvish symbols, that is).
DROP + LOTR Dwarvish Keyboard | $199.99 $139 at Amazon
The MMO mouse I use on the daily is back under $25
Okay, so this time last year, I was shopping for a new mouse, and as a bit of a meme because I'm the opposite of an expert about gaming mice, I bought this MMO monstrosity from Redragon.
It's an MMO mouse because it has 12 mappable buttons on its left-side, and while I thought that might be a funny and very extra thing for me to have in my setup, it's actually something I couldn't go without now. What really drew me to this clicker is that it has a dedicated pinky groove, which I need on my mice to find them comfortable and usable.
It may be a budget option for such a fundamental part of a gaming setup, but I love this thing so much I use it daily, and I have two of them (one each for my couch and desk gaming setup). Cannot recommend this one more, honestly.

Were you hoping to buy some DDR5 RAM this Black Friday? You're about to hate the AI revolution even more
Black Friday is an amazing time to buy new PC components, right? Correct.
So you should shop for new DDR5 RAM you've been waiting for the right moment to buy, right? Wrong.
I'm sorry to tell you this, but DDR5 RAM has recently seen massive pricing spikes, so much so that it's pretty hard to recommend shopping for it right now. If you have no other choice, it'll be a matter of finding the cheapest DDR5 RAM you can, but if you want to know who to point the finger at, it's AI.
Essentially, an increase in AI data servers and AI-ready tech has meant that there is now a massive shortage of memory out in the wild, and the world can't keep up with the manufacturing needs. That means less supply for consumers and PC builders, and higher prices due to demand going up. If you want the full rundown of why this Black Friday is not the time to shop for RAM, click the highlighted text.
You can spend $135 on a Backbone Pro, or...
You may be drawn to the idea of a mobile controller since handheld gaming can set you back a small fortune, and cloud streaming has come a long way in recent years. It's easy to look at the Backbone Pro and think, hey, that's got to be the one worth buying, right?
I haven't gone hands-on with the Backbone Pro yet, but I can tell you from my experience reviewing other mobile controllers that there is literally no need to spend that much on a mobile controller when cheaper alternatives already do the same stuff, if not better.
The GameSir G8 Galileo is the best mobile controller, in my eyes. It has the same two back buttons GameSir does, it has Hall effect thumbsticks, it has a folding USB-C connector to make seating and unseating your phone a lot safer, and it's way more ergonomic than 90% of the other mobile pads on the shelves.
Oh, and it's only $63 right now, while the Backbone Pro costs $135. I know which one I'd pick.

ICYMI: Here's the cream of the crop laptop we'd recommend right now
If you have the budget to grab one of the best of the best (RTX 5090) gaming laptops, this Asus ROG Strix Scar 18 is seeing a big ol' price cut at Best Buy.
Higher-end PCs and laptops like this often see the largest savings during Black Friday, and this $600 discount is proof of that. If you want the last word in laptop power, it'll be hard to outgun the laptop version of the RTX 5090. The only question is, do you have the budget for it?
Asus ROG Strix Scar 18 | $4,499.99 $3,899.99 at Best Buy
Horizon is going cheap...
It's easy to get distracted by all the hardware discounts, but Black Friday can also be a good time to grab a few game deals, too. Now, it's worth checking if in your region, it's cheaper to get these digitally, but PS5 games on the PlayStation store are notoriously not discounted.
If you have a console that can take discs, Horizon Forbidden West is going for just $22.99 at Best Buy right now, so this could be a good chance to tick off one from the backlog if you're yet to play it.
Horizon Forbidden West PS5 | $59.99 $22.99 at Best Buy
I think this might be one of the most slept-on gaming headsets
The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 is in a tricky spot. It's part of the SteelSeries Arctis Nova line, so it's well-known and pretty popular, but it's the middle child, which means it has some amazing features, but is often overlooked in favor of the budget alternative or the more feature-rich flagship.
The new and improved model of this headset has just arrived, and in fact, I'm testing it now. That means the older version (which I don't actually think necessarily needed updating because it's still so good) is seeing a huge discount for Black Friday that brings it from $199 to $119 at Amazon.
For that money, you get simultaneous Bluetooth connectivity, amazing battery life, great sound quality, and access to the SteelSeries Sonar software that lets you customize sound profiles. As an added bonus, you'll also be able to customize its look with headbands, magnetic ear caps, and cushions in colors you like.
SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7P | $199.99 $119.99 at Amazon
It's a great day for controller deals
It's a great time to shop for controllers, especially if you're a PC player, since so many of them will be compatible.
The Manba One is another standout controller from 2025, and although it looks very gimmicky with a massive screen, it's anything but. This is a budget controller to begin with, but it gives you so many awesome features for your money. For more info, take a gander at my review, linked above.

Play a lot of puzzle games? Hear me out...
This one is a little out of left field, and I apologise in advance because it's a pretty pricey product.
One of my favorite gaming experiences from 2025 was playing Blue Prince with my girlfriend. If you haven't played it, its puzzles, clue-finding, and lore are all so deep that you literally need to keep a notepad beside you to make sense of it all.
We used my reMarkable tablet (which I mainly use for my content creation and notetaking) to keep track of the game, and it helped massively. I did the gameplay, and my girlfriend Lydia took beautifully neat and organised notes. If you want a device that scales back on the usual feature-rich and distraction-heavy design philosophy of today's tech, I cannot recommend the reMarkable more.
It's currently seeing a very, very rare discount at Amazon, which cuts the reMarkable 2 down by $27. That's not much for a device that costs this much, but if you've been wanting an e-ink tablet with stunning writing feel and this has been at the top of your list for a while, you'll know how uncommon it is to see this device drop in price at all.

The GameSir Tarantula Pro is one of my favorite controllers from the last few years, and it's one of the few in my collection as a controller reviewer that never leaves my regular rotation. If you're a fan of symmetrical sticks like the ones on PlayStation controllers, but you've migrated to Switch 2 or PC, this is a device you simply have to have on your radar.
It has two back buttons, the comfort of the DualShock 4, TMR thumbsticks, a charging stand, and some additional face buttons you can map to your liking. For $55.99, this is an amazing controller. I don't see it getting cheaper next week, but I do see it potentially running out of stock, since GameSir gamepads tend to after a Black Friday sale.
GameSir Tarantula Pro | $69.99 $55.99 at Amazon
One for content creators
If you're looking to take your Twitch streaming or gaming video creation to the next level, nothing says enhanced production quality like a new microphone. Shure's MV7+ is one of the best all-rounders on the shelves, and it doesn't often get discounted. Right now, it's only a few dollars off its cheapest ever price at Amazon.
The real perk of this mic is that you get XLR and USB connectivity, which not only gives you versatility for using it in different setups, but you also get futureproofing if you haven't bought a streaming mixer yet.

Some prebuilt PC recommendations
I've been covering prebuilt gaming PC deals for four Black Fridays in a row now, so at this point in deals season, I've prepared a list of the best offers for each tier of graphics card.
You'll find this list below, and they're all either the cheapest builds I've seen using those GPUs, or they're the ones I deem the best deal for that configuration.
- RTX 5060: $799 at Walmart
- RTX 5060 Ti: $1,099 at Newegg
- RTX 5070: $1,299.99 at Newegg
- RX 9070 XT: $1,899 at Newegg
- RTX 5070 Ti: $1,699 at Walmart
- RTX 5080: $2,299.99 at Newegg
Especially from this point out, I would also use these prices as a guide. If you spot a PC that has slightly enhanced specs from the ones listed above, spend a little more. But I'd really aim to use these prices as a guide and ballpark for what you should spend on each power level of gaming PC.

You can already get the best budget VR headset for $50 less
One of my favorite early deals for gamers this Black Friday has to be on the Meta Quest 3S. I would be shocked if this were discounted further next week, because it's already giving you some exceptional VR and mixed reality features for a budget price. Annoyingly, there's no discount on the flagship Quest 3 yet, so it might be worth waiting to see if that's something that appears (if you have the budget for it).
You also have two options if you're shopping for the most affordable 128GB model. If you grab it from Best Buy, you can get The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners bundled in, and if you shop at Amazon, you'll get Gorilla Tag. Both are the same price.
Meta Quest 3S 128GB + The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners | $299 $249 at Best Buy
Meta Quest 3S 128GB + Gorilla Tag | $299 $249 at Amazon
Want a more affordable alternative to Secretlab this Black Friday?
As someone who covers gaming chairs for a living, I know Secretlab is a pricey brand - even when its Black Friday sale is running. To be totally honest, I'm also not a massive fan of the comfort that brand's chairs give you for your money.
If you want a comfier, wider, and more affordable alternative, the Corsair TC500 Luxe is one of my favorite gaming chairs from the last few years. It has a more plush level of cushioning than Secretlab, and although it doesn't have the same flashy officially licensed designs available, its look has a touch of class that you don't often see in the gaming seat market.
I used this chair for months of working from home, gaming at a desk, and doing content creation, and it never let me down. I have issues with its armrests, but it has all the adjustability and comfort you could want in this type of chair. It's currently seeing a discount back down to its lowest ever price, which gives you more than a $100 price cut.
Corsair TC500 Luxe | $549.99 $424.99 at Amazon
One for Xbox and PC players
If you want an example of a good early Black Friday deal, this is definitely one.
Razer's Wolverine V3 Pro controller is a premium device, and although it's barely shifted from its standard $200 price point since launch, you can now get it for $159.99 at Amazon - and that's a further $10 cheaper than it was yesterday.
For context, I already thought the $169 price for this controller was so good yesterday, I reported on it, but with a $40 discount, this is ridiculous value for money - especially since Razer charges a lot for its controllers.
Razer Wolverine V3 Pro | $199.99 $159.99 at Amazon
It's a new day of deal hunting
Greetings, early Black Friday shoppers! It is I, Hardware Editor Duncan, here reporting for a new day of deal hunting.
A lot of new discounts have dropped today, especially at Amazon. It's my guess that more will arrive as the day proceeds, so I'll be on hand to find you the best ones for gamers. Standby while I dive in, and feel free to peruse what my colleagues have recommended over the last couple of days.
When you should you start properly looking out for Black Friday deals?
The fact you're reading my very words suggests Black Friday deals are already on your mind, but you'll be perhaps wondering if you're too early. In reality, it's not a matter of being on time or late for discounts; it's more a case of whether the gaming gadgets and gizmos you're looking for have dropped to their lowest price yet.
More often than not, Black Friday borrows price tags from earlier in the year, and sometimes even mere weeks before the event. That means there's not always exclusive savings to be found during the event, and if you check at the right time, you can grab the same bargains without remembering to actually dive into retailer websites in and around Thanksgiving.
In truth, the best way to make sure you don't miss out on Black Friday deals is to just stick with us right here. We'll be doing the searching for you, and believe me, we're spending hours scrolling and only showing you offers that are worth while. Keep in mind we also spend hundreds of hours every year testing the latest consoles, PC, and accessories, so we also have a lot of advice to dish out alongside delicious discounts.
I'm cautiously optimistic for handheld gaming PC deals this year
Earlier, I touched on the fact that the Asus ROG Ally hasn't dipped in price since its Xbox ROG Ally X sibling rolled into town. However, handheld gaming PC prices in general seem to be holding steady, which could suggest Best Buy and other retailers are waiting until the actual sale to kick off discounts.
This could be fantastic news if you've been waiting to grab powerhouse portables like the MSI Claw 8 AI+ for a reasonable price or even the cheaper Lenovo Legion Go S. I do think it's still worth taking a step back and assessing whether current-gen portables can provide you with the right performance for their price, even with a discount, but I'll be here to keep you well informed.

The Retroid Pocket 5 is cheaper at Amazon right now, but not in the color you'll probably want
I have good news and bad news.
The good news is that the Retroid Pocket is $40 off right now, thanks to a cheeky Amazon coupon. The bad news is that it's only the white version, and as someone who's currently testing the purple handheld that looks like a GameCube, that's a bummer.
I don't blame you if you'd rather spend more on the gorgeous purple model, but if my tests so far are anything to go by, this is one of the best retro console options for emulating systems like the PS2 and GameCube, regardless of colorway. I'll hopefully be sharing a full review real soon, but I can already give this portable my retro nerd seal of approval.
Retroid Pocket 5 (white) | $259.99 $219.99 at Amazon
Will RTX 5090 deals be a thing this year?
The short answer is no, you won't find cheap RTX 5090 graphics cards this year.
The longer answer is that if you need an entire rig, you might be able to find a system with the flagship GPU inside for less. The price will naturally be way higher than other gaming PCs, simply thanks to the GPU stowed away within, but you're more likely to find money off a full system than just the graphics card.
Sadly, PC players aren't the only people interested in cards like the RTX 5090, as AI enthusiasts also want the graphics card for its abilities. If I'm being honest, it feels like the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 is the real frontrunner for gaming, as the 5090 is priced beyond what even the average enthusiast is willing to pay.
The good news is that while this makes finding the best gaming PC possible a little confusing, we'll be serving up Black Friday gaming PC deals actually worth looking at throughout the event.
Remember, 4K isn't always better when choosing a gaming monitor
I often hear friends, family, and acquaintances talk about 4K monitors as if they're automatically top-tier. This is probably symptomatic of the TV scene switching to largely UHD panels and all the marketing that emphasised the resolution being superior. That's not to say it isn't higher spec than 1080p or 1440p, but a higher res screen doesn't automatically mean better visuals and fidelity.
There's far more to choosing a gaming monitor than simply resolution. Yes, 4K models are often more expensive, but sometimes you're paying for the mere luxury of UHD resolutions when you could be investing in more vibrant OLED tech, better features, or even just something that's better value for your setup.
Even when it comes to 4K monitors, not all models are created equal. Some screens, like the Alienware AW2725Q, boast a much higher pixel density than other models, meaning you'll get perceptibly sharper visuals. Some displays also use size as a way to appear sharper, but if you're looking for something under 27 inches, I'd say you'll get just as much from a 1440p panel at normal distances.
TL;DR - Don't let the idea of a 4K screen lure you without checking other specs and options first.
Revisiting the Xbox 360 for its 20th anniversary? Keep an eye on this upscaling gadget
If you're like me, you'll be looking to dive into some Xbox 360 games to celebrate the console's 20th anniversary on November 22. Yes, I'm disintegrating too at the thought, but while anyone who was old enough to work back in 2005 will feel a bit creaky, you can save Microsoft's system from feeling the same way by using an upscaler.
Specifically, I'm planning on hooking an Xbox 360 up to the Marseille mClassic, an HDMI gadget that upscales visuals to 1080p or 1440p while cleaning up edges using anti-aliasing algorithms. The results last time I played some of my favorite adventures, like Alice: Madness Returns and The Darkness, left a lasting impression, one that I think really saves the console's HD visuals from looking worse for wear.
I'd wait until the mClassic hits $79.99, and I suspect we might be treated to a Black Friday retro deal since it normally falls under $80 during the sales. That said, if it gets close enough to that figure, it might be worth grabbing one just in case general cost increases prevent the gizmo from hitting its previous record low.

I've been spending a lot of time under a blanket with this incredibly cheap portable moitor
Y'know, sometimes it's nice to retreat from life into a cosy gaming nest, and I keep finding myself under a blanket with the Steam Deck and this cheap portable gaming monitor. KYY's 15.6-inch screen likes to dip under $70 during sale events, and while it is sort of like the top of a 1080p laptop, its USB-C connectivity means you can hook handhelds straight up to it with ease.
It's far from the fanciest screen out there, but even still, KYY's portable monitor actually looks decent at 1080p, if you're using a handheld that sticks to that resolution. Its colors and brightness are serviceable, and it even has built-in speakers to save you from adding an audio solution. The adults in the room might want to use it as a secondary desktop screen for productivity, but I'll be damned if I use it for anything other than revisiting Xbox 360-era games and indie capers with Valve's portable.

As your neighbourhood retro expert, please tell me you'll avoid these cheap game sticks this Black Friday
Upon searching "retro consoles" at retailers like Amazon, you'll likely be flooded with a bunch of cheap HDMI TV sticks that promise to serve up an absurd number of games. Many of them will even come with controllers that look like an uncanny Dualsense, but I'd recommend looking elsewhere for your classic caper fix.
Yes, their price tags are attractive, especially if you're looking for a quick and easy novelty gift. But, not only are you at risk of buying something loaded with unauthorised games, but you'll find that the gamepads are subpar quality and the device itself is really just a generic smart TV stick that can, at its very best, handle NES games. Plus, you'll often find that the "2,000" classics included are just either the same game repeated over and over, or hacked versions that feature one level per entry on the list.
If you do want something to play retro games on for under $40, there are plenty of much better options out there. I'd personally suggest checking out the Anbernic RG28XX since it's one of the best retro handhelds out there with an approachable price point and can even hook up to your TV via a mini HDMI port. You'll need your own collection of legitimately sourced ROMs, though, so keep that in mind when shopping for any cheap retro gaming device that relies on emulation.

One of my go-to OLED monitors just hit a new record low thanks to a sneaky coupon
Sometimes I'll find myself doing a double-take at Amazon when scrolling for screen savings, and that's exactly what just happened upon seeing KTC's OLED monitor for under $450. This is one of those weird scenarios where, rather than actually slashing the price, there's a green box that says "you pay $449.99 with coupon," which is easy to miss when you're looking at the normal place for price tags.
Basically, if you go to the effort of checking a box, you'll get a 27-inch QHD 240Hz OLED screen at its lowest ever price, and I can confirm it's a fantastic display. It's actually rocking an LG panel, so you're actually getting a display that's almost identical to various other big brands out there. It even comes with a USB-C hub and 65W power delivery, meaning you can hook a gaming handheld like the Steam Deck OLED or even the ROG Xbox Ally X up with a single cable for charging and video output.

Rocking a 64GB or 256GB Steam Deck? I've got a discounted SSD update for you
I'm willing to bet many of you out there have got a launch Steam Deck that just keeps running out of space. That's because two of the original LCD models have 64GB and 256GB storage, but you can currently upgrade your handheld with a 500GB SSD for under $80 and sort your storage woes out for good.
The update process isn't too tricky, and it will ultimately save you just using microSD cards. With this SSD, you could maximize your storage in a way that'll save you from upgrading your handheld for the Steam Deck OLED or a rival with more space by default. It's worth noting that due to increased demand thanks to AI interests, components like this are getting more expensive, so it's worth grabbing offers where you can before pricing potentially gets even higher.

Can you trust unfamiliar monitor brands at Amazon over Black Friday?
As you dive into the murky waters of Amazon during Black Friday, you'll no doubt find gaming monitors by a bunch of brands you've never heard of. Sticking with household names is usually a good way to ensure a specific level of quality, but you'll no doubt feel a bit hesitant to try a random model that isn't by LG, Samsung, or any other established screen maker.
What I will say is that many of those unfamiliar brands out there are actually the people making monitors for the big names. Better still, options like the KTC G27P6 actually use the same LG OLED panel as some more expensive options, and that's a trend with the entire industry.
That said, I'd still check out our gaming monitor coverage for proper reviews and testing before settling on a specific model, regardless of brand name. That's really the best way to ensure you get a great display before you think about discounts, and it'll help you catch any annoying cons that could be a deal breaker.
This retro console makes for an imperfect way to start collecting Turbografx-16 and PC Engine games
Hyperkin has been making affordable retro console remakes for a while, and the Retron GX aims to make playing physical Turbografx-16 and PC Engine games price approachable. Don't get me wrong, it's still pricey for an emulation box that might not run some carts, but it's worth considering with a discount.
The Retron GX is currently 16% cheaper at Amazon, and while it's a few dollars away from its previous record low, it's far more affordable than (the admittedly impressive) Analogue Duo. Plus, it'll hook you up with 720p output via HDMI and the option of USB controllers or original gamepads using the built-in ports. Simply put, you'll have everything you need to start casually collecting for an NES rival you might either have never heard of or missed back in the day.

Praise the GPU gods, as you can actually get an RTX 5070 for under $500
No, really, Nvidia's midrange GPU really is under $500 right now. That works out at $50 less than the graphics card giant's default asking price, but most models previously cost a chunk above that, thanks to the wild west of custom pricing. So, it's safe to say this is a bit of a novelty for me as someone who's been watching for price drops all year.
The model in question is an MSI Ventus GeForce RTX 5070, not the sleeker Founder's Edition. However, it does use a two-fan shroud instead of three, meaning it's not way chonkier like some versions out there. You'll also be getting all the same DLSS 4 AI upscaling bells and whistles that are going to give your PC a better chance at hitting 4K 60fps in even the latest releases.

I'm still thinking of putting this Burger Time mini arcade in my kitchen while it's under $200
I love spending my adult money on not-so-adult things, and this Quarter Arcades Burger Time arcade machine absolutely qualifies. Yes, it's expensive for a machine with one game included, but it's actually like a piece of interactive décor rather than just a gaming gadget. Therefore, while it still sounds lofty even with a discount, taking it under $200, it's an incredibly detailed piece for your game room or anywhere else you'd like in your house (seriously, I'd pop it in my kitchen if I had space).
It might be an excellent nerdy decorative cabinet, but I should stress it's also a joy to play. I've spent a lot of time with the Bubble Bobble version, and its screen is surprisingly sharp, and its speakers sound fantastic. It's even got a built-in battery that's USB-C rechargeable, so you can follow your guests around insisting they have a shot.

Waiting for PlayStation Portal deals? Maybe hang fire for now!
This just in - the PlayStation Portal is set to get a rare discount this Black Friday. Word on the street is that the handheld will be included in Sony's upcoming sale alongside DualSense discounts and savings on the PSVR2.
Effectively, you'll want to wait for those deals to arrive to grab $20 off a Portal. You can get one for as little as $130 if you go for a refurbished model, but finding them in excellent condition isn't always easy. I'll chime back in with any good renewed deals if I find them, but for now, wait for the new-in-box stock to drop to $179.

Will Steam Deck Black Friday deals happen this year?
Valve likes to surprise us with a Steam Deck discount from time to time, but it has yet to activate any early discounts. Its worth noting that while the retailer tends to line up its sales with other events, it doesn't tend to use the annual branding. That could mean offers on the LCD and OLED handhelds show up after November, so I wouldn't write off price cuts in December.
there's a good chance too that since Valve just announced that the Steam Machine is getting a second wind alongside a new VR headset, the storefront giant might hold off on deals so as not to distract players from the news. If it temps people in buying its portable PC now, that could influence whether they buy the new hardware options once pricing and a release date is revealed, but that's not to say offers won't happen.
If it's accessories and related gadgets you're after, we'll be gathering up Black Friday Steam Deck deals regardless, so make sure to join us over the sale season.
Yes, my favorite OLED monitor is expensive, but it's two screens in one for under $1,000
OLED monitors are pricey at the best of times, but I've just found a version of my personal favorite 32-inch LG panel for under $1,000. Still sounds like a lot? Well, rather than just getting a 4K 240Hz screen that pushes the limits of UHD visuals, this display doubles up as a competitive-grade 1080p 480Hz panel thanks to its dual resolution mode.
Virtually, you're getting two screens in one with LG's Dual Resolution display, which could save you from having a multi-monitor setup just to have access to high fidelity and top-end speeds. Plus, it's packed with plenty of other features too, including punchy built-in speakers and a USB hub, so it's pretty comprehensive.

The Razer Edge is back from the discontinued dead at Amazon thanks to a renewed deal
Is the Razer Edge a perfect handheld? Well, no, especially not at its original price. Is it absolutely worth grabbing if you want a versatile portable for playing PS2 games and virtually any other retro emulator out there? I'd absolutely say so, and you can once again grab it at Amazon for under $200 thanks to a wave of "renewed" stock.
Keep in mind this listing is for refurbished Razer Edge handhelds, but they are graded as "excellent" and come with Amazon's 90-day guarantee. The retailer's renewed program is great for grabbing a bargain on something that wouldn't otherwise be available, and at its current price, you'll struggle to find a better device for emulation with features like a USB-C mobile controller support and an AMOLED screen.

PSA: The LG OLED TV I use might not stick around for Black Friday
I don't know about you, but I always pick up leave it a year before picking up pricey TVs like the LG OLED C4. That allowed me to grab a pretty nice discount on the 4K 144Hz display during the summer, and its now within touching distance of its lowest price even without a deal. That in itself is a problem, though, as I've noticed that stock is really trying up at Amazon and Best Buy.
If I'm being real with you, unless the newer C5 manages to drop to a similar level, I'd grab the OLED C4 before Black Friday. I'd specifically try and find the 55-inch model if you can since it strikes a balance between screen size and cost, all while offering up the same excellent vibrancy, speedy 144Hz visuals, and brightness that makes a tremendous difference when watching movies in HDR.
LG OLED C4 55-inch | $1,096.99 at Amazon
Got your setup next to a window? You'll want to check out this OLED monitor
Reflections can honestly completely disrupt your gaming visuals even when you're using a super swanky high-end screen. That's perhaps why I find myself still continuously recommending Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 monitors, as they use one of the best anti-glare coatings I've experienced with a desktop screen, and I'm saying that after testing one next to an aggressively bright window in my office.
There are a few different models now, and I'd say the better value one right now is the 240Hz panel that's under $530 ahead of Black Friday. That represents a record low across the range, and even though I tested the 360Hz version, you're getting a near-identical QD-OLED panel that's vibrant and crispy at 1440p.

Will Asus ROG Ally Black Friday deals actually happen this year? Maybe ask the Xbox Ally
With less than two weeks to go until Black Friday kicks off, I've noticed a severe lack of Asus ROG Ally discounts. The handheld gaming PC normally drops to around $500 in the lead-up and during the sale, but offers are a complete no-show this year.
The reason? I suspect the OG handheld is trying not to make the brand-new Xbox Ally look bad. While the flagship ROG Xbox Ally X is in an entirely different price category, the non-X model is actually a slightly weaker version of the original, thanks to its new Z2 chipset. It's got AI cores, yes, but in terms of raw performance, the existing Ryzen Z1 Extreme still has an edge. Therefore, unless you absolutely need the new controller ergonomics in your life, the Asus ROG Ally is better value when it's under $500.
Will that actually happen this year? I've got doubts, but I'll let you know the moment an actual Asus ROG Ally offer shows up.

You can grab one of my favorite retro gadgets for under $60 right now
These days, it can be tricky to find the Super Pocket for under $60, but it's currently sitting pretty at Amazon at its lowest price. The budget-friendly console comes with a bunch of publisher-based adventures built in, and the Capcom one comes with classics like Street Fighter 2 and Mega Man. However, since this is an Evercade device, it also has access to over 500 other releases, thanks to its physical cartridge support, so honestly, this is a small price to pay for a fully fledged platform that will fit in most pockets.

I just told my friend to bag this budget 1080p monitor now that its back under $150
One of my good friends has been asking me for weeks to recommend a cheap, but speedy gaming monitor, and I can now tell them to pick up the KOORUI GN02. It fits the bill since they simply need a 27-inch 1080p 240Hz panel to pair with their gaming laptop, and for under $150, this budget-friendly screen is pretty great value.
You'd think a screen like this would feel lacklustre in terms of colors and contrast, yet, its visuals are actually perfectly serviceable. During testing, I actually ended up spending a lot of time playing PS5 games on it at 1080p, which goes to show that you don't always need a fancy high-end display to enjoy some nice visuals and respectable speeds.

Analogue's new 4K Nintendo 64 is sold out, but you should grab its discounted controller
I'm hardly surprised the Analogue 3D is already sold out, but if you're still itching for a modern Nintendo 64 experience, you could start with its wonderful 8Bitdo N64 controller. It's got a cheeky $5 off right now ahead of Black Friday, and the wireless pad manages to strike a balance between feeling authentic and offering up modern perks like a hall-effect joystick and Switch 2 compatibility.
The latter means it's a solid option for Switch Online games, especially early 2D and 3D romps. It'll even happily sync up to Android devices and PCs thanks to its Bluetooth abilities, so this gamepad is worth watching for retro setup even if you're not grabbing the new 4K N64.

There's just 10 days to go until Black Friday 2025
Given the job that I do, I've had a ton of friends ask me "when actually is Black Friday" over the last few weeks. Well, if you were wondering the same thing, I'm here to let you know that there are just 10 days until the big sales event, which kicks off a week on Friday.
If you need to pop it in your calendar, that's November 28 to be exact. Remember though, just because that's the big day doesn't mean there aren't any savings on the lead up to the big sales extravaganza. There are plenty of early Black Friday gaming deals worth your attention going on right now, and I recommend checking in with this page over the next few days as we hunt them all down.
This JSAUX Switch 2 Joy-Con charger is down to its lowest ever price
The JSAUX EnergyFlow Charging Dock is very handy to have if you happen to own an extra pair of Joy-Con controllers. This little RGB-lit up pillar can charge up to four controllers at once, and keep your official pads juiced up and ready to go at a moment's notice. Currently, it's $3 off and down to its lowest ever price at Amazon, too.
I tested the Switch 2 accessory, and what I loved most about it was its stunning lighting. Begrudgingly, you can't customize its RGB strip, but it's so bright and its gradient of colors is so smooth, that it'll brighten up your Ninty gaming setup and then some.

If you played Final Fantasy 7 Remake but have been putting off grabbing its sequel, now is an ideal time. It's currently $39.99 at Amazon, a return to its lowest ever price so far, and this includes the "Exclusive Amazon Edition" too.
What that basically means is, inside the box, you'll find an FF7 themed decal for your official Sony DualSense controller.

The Switch 2 Pro controller is still full price, but this PowerA alternative is not
If you're not a Switch 2 Joy-Con enjoyer and fancy something with a more premium feel, the PowerA Advantage Wireless controller is down to $64.87 at Amazon thanks to the influx of early Black Friday deals.
It's not quite as feature-full as the official Nintendo Pro controller, but it's equipped with hall effect sticks, onboard EQ presets, and up to 30 hours of battery life, which is still ideal for all your Switch 2 gaming needs. Plus, the $5 off helps a little, too.

One of my favorite PS5 horror game experiences is under $15 right now
I'm a bit of a horror game connoisseur, but the Dark Pictures Anthology hasn't really been my thing. No matter which one I played, I didn't feel like it quite caught the magic that was the developers' previous game, Until Dawn, that was, until I played House of Ashes.
Out of all the games in the anthology, House of Ashes has impressed me the most, with its great visuals, fantastic cast, and genuine scares, but I wish I had waited for this current deal before I picked it up. Right now, it's just $12.95 at Amazon, which is a no-brainer if you're a physical game fan and love everything to do with horror.

The official Switch 2 SD card is on sale, but I'd wait a little longer
The official Samsung 256GB microSD Express card is currently on sale at Amazon like a ton of other Switch 2 accessories, but I recommend holding out a little longer before you make it yours.
Nintendo recently announced its Black Friday deal plans, and amongst those, the company revealed plans to drop $20 off the officially licensed card, which should take its price down to around $39.99, rather than its current $55.95 deal price. Of course, if you're desperate for some extra storage and money isn't an issue, I won't stop you from picking it up today, but just remember it will be cheaper come November 30 at physical Nintendo stores at select retailers.

This headset has one of the best microphones I've tested and its $40 off right now
When the Logitech G522 Lightspeed originally came my way, I assumed it was just a run-of-the-mill RGB pair of cups, and not a headset with one of the best microphones I've ever heard in my years of reviewing tech.
The omnidirectional detachable mic was so sensitive that during testing, I had to turn down Discord's sensitivity settings as far as they could go, as it was picking up my partner in the same room. If mic quality is of the utmost importance, you can now grab the G522 Lightspeed for just $119.99, saving $40 off its $159.99 MSRP.

An early Black Friday PS5 game deal perfect for Dragon Ball fans
If you're regularly hunting for a gift for a big Dragon Ball fan, may I recommend Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero on the PS5? It's filled with a ton of Budokai Tenkaichi-style action, and better yet, it's currently down to $43.99 at Amazon, a saving of $16 off its $59.99 MSRP. While that's not a record-low deal, and I suspect it'll become even cheaper once the Black Friday deals officially kick off next week, it's still a chunky amount of cash off.
Just make sure to double-check that the Dragon Ball fan in your life doesn't own the game already before you grab this early Black Friday deal.

This Seagate Storage Expansion Card saving is perfect for Xbox fans
If you're struggling to make room for all the latest Game Pass games on your Xbox Series X/S you can always grab a Seagate Expansion Card. This extra storage simply slots into the back of your console and can provide you with up to 8TB of room to download any game you please.
Right now, Best Buy has dropped $70 off the 4TB version thanks to its influx of early Black Friday deals. It still comes in at $429.99, which is a lot to spend on storage alone, but at least it will help you futureproof your Xbox console and help it cope with all the new storage-demanding games ahead.

Race to grab this Mario Kart World deal at Woot while you still can
Amazon's own Woot has been incredible for early Switch 2 game deals this November. Newly released games like Donkey Kong Bananza were down to record lows at the retailer, but they've since sold out. Fortunately, this Mario Kart World discount is still going strong.
If you didn't manage to get the Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle that comes with a digital version of the game, this saving is ideal for you. But there's only six days left of this $69.99 record low price, so you gotta be speedy if you don't want to miss out.

PSA - Don't forget to use your Amazon wishlists over Black Friday
I buy a lot of games and tech off Amazon, and there's one shopping trick I adhere to in order to make sure I get everything for as little as possible - I put everything onto an Amazon Wishlist.
By having all the items you want to grab, whether that's for yourself or as a gift, in a wishlist, you can be informed of when they're discounted and by how much, if you follow these easy steps. Once you've added everything you want to keep track of over Black Friday to a list, pop open the Amazon app, select the account icon, navigate to your lists, and select 'deals' from the filter list. Afterward, you'll be shown every item that's on one of your wishlists that's currently on offer.
Just be sure to keep your wishlists private if you don't want to spoil gifts for family and friends.
Need storage for your Switch 2? This early deal has you covered
If you just got a Nintendo Switch 2, it's highly likely you're gonna be after some extra storage, like found on this 256GB microSD Express Card. The new Ninty handheld is only compatible with this type of speedier card, but fortunately for you, this model is $8 cheaper at Amazon today.
Grabbing this card for your new handheld will mean you have double the onboard storage to install Switch 2 games, or take as many screenshots and video clips as you want. Which is great news, given games like Kirby Air Riders with its 21.7GB file size are right around the corner.

My go-to RGB wireless Razer headset is part of this year's early sales
When it comes to RGB lighting on a headset, I prefer when it's customizable and subtle, and that's exactly what you can find on the Razer Barracuda X Chroma.
This wireless headset features a thin ring of lighting around each cup, with a light-up Razer logo in the middle, and you can change it to a static color of your choice or select from a range of lighting effects via the Razer app or the Razer Synapse software on your PC. Better yet, this wireless headset is $10 off today at Best Buy, too.

If you're in need of some extra storage for your gaming PC, or even your PS5, this Samsung 990 Pro SSD with its 2TB worth of storage space is down to $199.99 at Best Buy. That's a saving of $45 off, and 2000GB to store all the games your heart desires.
This version comes with a heatsink too, so you don't have to worry about keeping it cool. Most importantly, Jeremy Laird shared in our Samsung 990 Pro review that the drive knocked out 7,462MB/s read and 6,877MB/s write speeds, which is as good as you can get for a Gen 4 drive.

This early Black Friday deal for Hatsune Miku fans is music to my ears
If you're a Hatsune Miku fan, then you might be interested to know that the Asus TUF Gaming H1 Gen II Hatsune Miku wired headset is $5 off at Best Buy right now. I'm well aware that it isn't the biggest saving in the world, but its $94.99 price is a record-low that all Miku and Vocaloid fans deserve to know about.
This head is designed with the PS5 in mind, but with its 3.5mm wired connection, you can pop it in pretty much anything with a compatible port. Is it the best-sounding headset in the world? No, but its stunning Miku-themed aesthetic and light-up LED Miku silhouette make it a great wired pair of cups for fans - or as a gift for the Hatsune Miku fan in your life.

Best Buy has dropped some amiibo savings, and I want them all
Amiibos make the perfect holiday gift as they're small, typically inexpensive, and can be found based on a huge range of Nintendo games, including the Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, like this Sidon figure. However, the latest waves of the NFC-collectibles have been pricier than usual.
Fortunately, this Sidon amiibo is down to $19.99 instead of its $29.99 MSRP at Best Buy, which means you're saving $10 off everyone's favorite Zora boy. It's not just Sidon who's part of the early Black Friday deals either, as you can grab the entire wave of new Zelda amiibo starting from $19.99 at Best Buy, and collect the lot for yourself, or make one Zelda fan very happy over the holidays.

An early Switch controller deal to get you in the mood for Kirby Air Riders
Kirby Air Riders lands on November 20, which is just days away, and what's better to play it with than an official Kirby controller? This adorable PowerA gamepad is designed to look like Kirby has swallowed it whole, and that feels entirely on brand for the little pink puffball.
The controller is compatible with both the OG Switch and the Nintendo Switch 2, and better yet, it's wireless, so there's no being at the mercy of wires here. The controller does require two AA batteries, however, so you will be at the mercy of ensuring you have two double A's set aside for all your Kirby gaming needs.

An early PS5 deal for the horror fans
Halloween is long over, but if you're a horror fan, you'll know there's no wrong time to play some spooky games. If you happened to miss out on Silent Hill f in particular this year, the Day One Edition is now down to $64.49 at Amazon, the lowest price I've spotted for this version so far.
Not only do you get this funky cover with its gorgeous box art and a poster, but this version comes with a range of in-game goodies, from a white sailor school uniform for Hinako and some extra in-game items.

The Razer Wolverine V3 Pro hits its lowest price yet
It's been a controller-heavy day so far, but if you're in the market for a set of buttons to run on PC you're in luck. The Razer Wolverine V3 Pro is down to $169.99 at Amazon, for a $30 discount overall. It's a little lighter than the savings I'm seeing on PS5 controllers, but the $199.99 MSRP on this gamepad hasn't budged as much as that of the Victrix featured earlier in the day.
This is still Duncan's go-to for pure speed, with extra bumpers, speedy buttons, and an excellent selection of rear clickers. We did note that deadzones felt a little large straight out the box, but can be customized.

Two gaming laptops are $899 at Dell right now, make sure you get the right one
Strangely, Dell has two different configurations of its entry level Alienware 16 Aurora gaming laptop on sale for the same price this week. Its early Black Friday deals have dropped the cheapest machine in its roster to $899.99 - but there's an RTX 5050 and an RTX 4050 version side by side on the shelves.
It goes without saying, especially considering the rest of the specs are exactly the same, you should be picking up the RTX 5050 version. This is already a lightweight machine, aiming to run lighter titles in 1080p - the extra headroom on offer from the RTX 50-Series' upscaling boost is going to play a much larger role in this rig than it would a more expensive option.

Need something a little more powerful?
The Razer BlackShark V3 has also taken its first ever discount this week at Amazon, shaving its $149.99 MSRP down to $129.99. This isn't the Pro version, but it's considerably cheaper than the top-dog's $250 price tag. Plus, Rosalie still awarded it a 4.5 / 5 in testing as well. It sounds fantastic, sits comfortably on the noggin, and still offers simultaneous Bluetooth and 2.4GHz audio at a price point we don't normally see too often.

This already-cheap headset just took a 31% discount
The Turtle Beach Airlite Fit is a go-to for budget Nintendo Switch 2 accessories, starting life at just $27.99. That makes it excellent value straight off the bat, but Amazon is doing one better this week.
You'll find the wired headset available for $19.26 right now, 31% off sticker price and just a hair under $20. Yes, you're dropping a lot of features compared to more expensive headsets, but there's a surprisingly powerful sound to these cups and that wired connection can be far more convenient as well. Whether you're gifting or picking up a cheaper set of cups for yourself, this is a fantastic early Black Friday deal. There's not much further for this price to fall.

The Razer Blade 16 is now $800 off
First it dropped to $1,799.99, then it was $1,699.99 last week, now we're at a brand new record-low price on the RTX 5060 Razer Blade 16. The rig, sporting the best display I've used on a gaming laptop yet, has dipped to $1,599.99 on Razer's own shelves - not bad for a set of new scissor switches and that glorious OLED panel.
Of course, with that slimline form factor and RTX 5060 GPU you're not going to be chasing the highest framerates with this thing. However, if you're going for style while working and playing lighter games at 1080p, it's well worth a look. For those investing in a more well-rounded system, you'll need to move further up the GPU scale.

Been holding off on Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake?
The HD-2D remake of Dragon Quest 3 is down to a record-low price at Amazon this week, shaving a massive 42% off the $59.99 MSRP. That means we're down to just $34.99 on this classic reimagined - not bad considering I generally see it at or above $40.
Oscar called it "pixel-perfect" on release this time last year, but if you're new to the genre just note there isn't as much hand-holding here as there are in other JRPGs. Still, this is a heavy discount on one of my favorite franchises of all time - and it's well timed if you're just coming to the end of your Dragon Quest 1 & 2 run (and you want to play in release order that is).

Walmart and Amazon are trading blows over Borderlands 4 pricing
Just last week Walmart undercut Amazon's first ever discount on Borderlands 4, dropping the $54.99 sale price down to $49.99. Where the former has now upped its rate once again, though, Amazon has shaved a few more bucks off the final cost.
That means you can pick up one of the biggest releases of the year for $47.99, a new record-low price. Not bad considering this was at full $69.99 MSRP just a few weeks ago.

A Black Friday classic
The Razer Basilisk V3 goes on sale every Black Friday, and it just so happens to be the best value gaming mouse I've tested so far. It originally launched at $69.99, but is generally found at between $40 and $50 day to day. That's why I look for this $34.99 sales price every year - you're getting plenty of functionality, a wide, comfortable base, and a slick RGB underglorw effect for a great price.

Or opt for the Victrix Pro BFG
The DualSense Edge is great for those first-party features, but if you're more interested in competitive speed we'd recommend the Victrix Pro BFG instead. This is a third party venture, which means you lose those haptic triggers, but gain a bunch of modular accessories and improve your back button game as well.
PDP's entry is also on sale this week, and it's also taking a dive to a new record-low price. $80 off the $199.99 MSRP takes us all the way down to $119.99 on this gamepad - that's $40 less than Sony's official model.

The DualSense Edge is cheaper than ever
This is a surprise, the DualSense Edge is almost discount-immune, only ever dropping $10 from its listing price over the last two years. That's all changed this week, with a record-low $159.99 sales price popping up at Amazon. That's the largest discount I've seen on Sony's own pro pad, for $40 off all in.
The DualSense Edge is the do-it-all model, with full software integration into the PS5 system and all the first party features of Sony's own controllers. That means you're paying a little more than you would for a Victrix Pro BFG, but making those first party releases all the more enjoyable.
Duncan has his hands wrapped around these controllers all the time, though, and recommends the Victrix for anyone playing more fast-paced, competitive titles. Its modular design and improved back buttons help keep it away from the Edge, but you do lose some of those more immersive features as well.

An early discount on Super Mario Galaxy
The Super Mario Galaxy bundle is seeing an unseasonably early discount on the Nintendo Switch this week, with Best Buy's Black Friday deals dropping it down by just over $8. It's a smaller saving but this is a fan favorite and you're getting plenty of game hours for your cash here to boot.
You don't need us to tell you Super Mario Galaxy is worth grabbing, but we did give it full marks in our review all the way back in 2007. The re-release combines the original with its also-five-star sequel for a full OG Switch cart.

Two weeks to go
We've got just under two weeks until Black Friday proper kicks off, though I would start keeping a closer eye on those prices from the start of next week. Thanksgiving week marks a real shift in the intensity of discounts, but there are still a few discounts floating around that are worth jumping on ahead of time.
