November 21 - Sony's official Black Friday deals have landed, and you can grab everything from up to $100 off PS5 consoles and bundles, up to $20 off the PS Portal remote player, and up to $30 off the premium DualSense Edge wireless controller over at PS Direct and select US and UK retailers.
With Black Friday little over a week away, PlayStation has announced its discount and deal plans leading up to the big sales extravaganza, which will run for a "limited time" on the PlayStation Store, at the official PlayStation Direct online store, and at select retailers worldwide - and the PS Portal is finally part of the plans.
While we can't confirm the time, we can confirm that the Black Friday PS5 deals will include the brand new PS5 Digital Edition 825GB Fortnite Flowering Chaos Bundle in the US, with its $399.99 MSRP and the 1TB Fortnite Flowering Chaos Bundle available for $449.99. Both include in-game goodies for Fortnite, as the name suggests, along with 1,000 V-Bucks. However, in the small print, PlayStation states that these bundles will remain exclusive to the official PlayStation store until November 26, 2026.
If you aren't big into Fortnite, it's not all doom and gloom as PlayStation will also be knocking off $100 on PS5 consoles, including digital editions in the US and £90 off in the UK. Anyone who's already been enjoying the Sony pixel-pusher can also grab some PS5 Black Friday deals on accessories, which will include:
- $100 / £90 off PlayStation VR2
- $20 / £20 off PlayStation Portal
- $20 / £20 off Pulse Elite Wireless headset
- $30 / £30 off Pulse Explore wireless earbuds
- $30 / £30 off DualSense Edge Wireless controller
- $20 / £20 off DualSense Wireless controller
- $20 off Access controller
The official Sony Black Friday deals went live on November 21, and right now you can grab big savings on PS5 consoles, including $100 off the limited edition Ghost of Yotei gold and black bundles. Not to mention, savings on the PS Portal, DualSense Edge, and even some discounts on PS5 game collector's edition sets.

Out of that long list, it's the discount on the PlayStation Portal that has most caught my attention. The remote player has been available for two years now, but deals and discounts are a rarity, so even the small $20 / £20 saving will be a nice sight to behold. I've had mine for almost a year now, but it'll be nice to see it be all the more accessible to others, even if its saving is not as dramatic as I'd hope it'd be.
Not to mention, the device recently received an upgrade, which equipped the handheld with new features, including a new redesigned UI, 3D audio support, the ability to complete in-game store purchases, and most notably, the ability to stream games straight from your game library. You still need to have a PlayStation Plus Premium membership in order to do just that, but fortunately, the upcoming Black Friday deals have you covered on that front, too.
Those in "participating countries" will be able to save up to 33% on a 12-month membership of PlayStation Plus. Current members will also be able to save 33% on the remainder of their membership when upgrading from PlayStation Plus Essential/Extra to the higher Premium/Deluxe tiers too.
One of the best benefits of PlayStation Plus is exclusive discounts on games, but according to the PlayStation Blog announcement, there will also be "various discounts" on PS5 releases, including Death Stranding 2 On the Beach, Lost Soul Aside, Astro Bot, and God of War Ragnarok, but their new prices haven't been revealed quite yet.
