Sandfall says Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 winning GOTY "isn't something we aim for," and even though it would be a "nice little bonus," it's rooting for Megabonk

There's no doubt that the 2025 sleeper RPG hit Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is one of many contenders for Game of the Year in December, but director Guillaume Broche insists the prestigious award was never the goal for developer Sandfall Interactive.

Talking to PCGN, Broche explained why Sandfall already feels like Clair Obscur has been a greater success than it could've possibly hoped for.
