Black Friday VR headset deals have finally arrived. As I guessed, now that the Steam Frame has been officially revealed and we're getting closer to the big day, all of the other headsets are fighting tooth and nail for your attention. Some of these headset deals are fantastic, and I would be surprised if we see further price drops next week, so don't feel the need to wait.

2025 has been a weirdly quiet year for the best VR headsets, but you wouldn't know it from the amount of news, rumours, speculation, and anticipation that's been going on for headsets that are in development. PSVR 2 and Meta Quest 3 have been leading the charge in the current market, but with the Quest 3S on the shelves at a very affordable price, there are lots of options to choose from. What's more, Valve Deckard has now been officially revealed as the Steam Frame, and Samsung's long-awaited Galaxy XR headset has just launched in the US.

Meta Quest 3S 128GB + The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners | $299 $249 at Best Buy
Save $50 - The $50 saving on the best budget VR headset has returned, and if you grab it from Best Buy, you get a Walking Dead game bundled in. If you were to buy from Amazon, you'd get the same price but Gorilla Tag bundled instead, so it's really down to your preference as to which you'd prefer.

<p><strong>Buy it if:<p>✅ You want to give VR a try for the first time<br />✅ You want mixed-reality and gaming features<p><strong>Don't buy it if:<p>❌ You want to wait and see if there's a Deadpool bundle soon<p><strong>Gorilla Tag Bundle: <a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8426&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.com%2FMeta-Quest-3S-256GB-All-One%2Fdp%2FB0F2GYMC8H%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-20%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-20" target="_blank"><strong>$249 at Amazon<p><strong>UK: <a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8426&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.co.uk%2FMeta-Quest-128GB-Get-Batman-All%2Fdp%2FB09MJRCXHN%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-21%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-21" target="_blank"><strong>£229 at Amazon

PSVR 2 Horizon Call of the Mountain Bundle | $399 $249 at Amazon
Save $150 - Keeping in mind this headset and bundle launched to the tune of $599, this is an absurd price to pay for a headset that has stellar, premium features. PSVR 2 is still my favorite VR headset for gaming overall, and even with Steam Frame on the horizon, it has some specs and bonuses that outgun the latest contenders. This discount is also available if you don't play on PS5, don't need the Horizon bundle, and plan to play on PC.

Meta Quest 3S 256GB + Batman Arkham Shadow | $399 $329 at Amazon
Save $70 - If you want a bit more storage space, and a larger saving, the 256GB model of the Quest 3S is also discounted right now, and it has an even larger saving than the 128GB version. With this budget, you get Batman: Arkham Shadow bundled in for free, as well as a 3-month trial of Meta Horizon+.

Pico 4 Ultra | £529 £379 at Amazon
Save $150 - This is only £10 away from the Pico 4 Ultra's cheapest ever price. Granted, this is only going to be viable for UK readers since the Pico headsets aren't available in the US, but this is the best Quest alternative in terms of standalone headsets that are currently available.

<p><strong>Buy it if:<p>✅ You're in the UK<br />✅ You want a Quest alternative<p><strong>Don't buy it if:<p>❌ You don't need mixed-reality features

HTC VIVE Pro 2 Headset | $699.00 $592.00 at Amazon
Save $107 - A few weeks ago, this was actually cheaper than it was during last year's Black Friday with a saving of $215. It's now still discounted, albeit not quite as well, but a deeper discount could come at any moment now that we're closer to the big day, so if this is on your shopping list give it a check and see if its price is what you've budgeted for.

Black Friday VR headset deals - FAQ

When will the Black Friday VR headset deals start?

This year, we're staring down the barrel of a November 28 official start for Black Friday, but like every year, the deals will start rolling in well before. Depending on how the supposed release of Valve Deckard and the new Samsung headset play out, we could see discounts on headsets long before. That said, most of the biggest discounts (especially to the most popular headsets) will likely return for Black Friday proper.

Where will the best Black Friday VR headset deals be?

While we'll be listing all the best offers here during Black Friday itself, we'd recommend checking out the following retailers if you'd prefer to make your own way in the meantime. These are all typically reliable sources for Black Friday VR headset deals.

US

- Amazon: Best for variety and official bundles
- Best Buy: Good for accessories and can include free gifts
- B&H Photo: Known for offering rare price drops
- Newegg: Make savings on renewed models and accessories
- Meta: Here's where you'll find official price drops
- Target: Grab your headset up that day with in-store pickup
- Walmart: Usually stocks bundles on accessories

UK

- Amazon: Typically best for variety
- Argos: Previously offered Oculus Go discounts
- Currys: Great for accessory bundles with regular discounts
- John Lewis: Two-year guarantee included
- Meta: Go straight to the source for the best discounts
- Very: Regular Meta stock and often price-matches

Black Friday VR headset deals - what to expect

It's very tricky to predict the play-by-play ahead of time this year, since there's an awful lot going on in the VR realm. Let's start with the most affordable, popular, and accessible headsets first, since it's what the majority of people will likely be hunting for when Black Friday VR headset deals kick off.

The Quest 3S has seen discounts for both Prime Days this year, while the Quest 3 512GB model has sat sulking at full price. This is the first year since the Quest 3 launched that we don't have a new Quest headset hitting the shelves, which in my eyes, means big discounts on existing ones. The looming arrival of the Quest-exclusive Deadpool VR game makes me think we'll see a new bundle for the Quest 3 headsets. The Batman Arkham Shadow bundle has been hanging on this year, but you can just tell it's on the way out when a much more "Meta" hero arrives.

PSVR 2, our current best overall pick in the VR race, will likely see a price cut, although since it took a permanent price dip last year, its deals have been a little quieter. I'd suspect we'll see a repeat of the Days of Play sale for PSVR 2, but the lack of a new bundle makes it hard for it to feel fresh among so many other newer devices.

If you're in the UK and you're looking for an alternative to the Quest 3 or 3S, look no further than the Pico 4 Ultra. It's an excellent headset that saw some great discounts in the lead up to October Prime Big Deal Days, and I'd imagine it'll be available for continual discounts in the lead up to Black Friday.

In the US, if you can stomach a heftier price, the HTC Vive Focus Vision is waiting for you, and anyone else who plans to hook it up to a gaming PC. I'm yet to test this headset out, but I hope to give you a verdict on it before we get to Black Friday. HTC has been fairly quiet on discounts this year when it comes to the Focus Vision, although older devices like the Vive Pro 2 and the XR Elite have both had a few discounts. Maybe The Focus Vision will celebrate big this Black Friday to make up for it.

Then of course, we have to think about what's waiting in the wings. Valve Deckard has been rumoured to be in the works for all of this year, and it's finally been revealed as the Steam Frame, launching in early 2026. I had slightly hoped it would just be immediately launched at the tail end of 2025, since that would have caused deal-irium for all the other headsets desperately trying to compete during Black Friday.

As it stands, that could still happen. I imagine the folks at Meta, HTC, Pico, and to a certain extent, PlayStation, will all be keen to state their claim over the VR gaming market before Valve swoops in next year to steal all the glory. At least, we can hope.

It all depends on price though, because so far, we don't have a price or a specific release date for Valve's upcoming headset. According to the rumours, Deckard is meant to be priced close to $1,000, which puts it most closely against the HTC Vive Focus Vision - which is why I'd expect that headset to see a price cut in this year's sale. If the Steam Frame manages to keep its price down below the ~$1,000 mark, the Quest 3 devices might be in trouble.

As if all that excitement wasn't enough, Samsung has now launched Galaxy XR, which had been rumoured and in development for a long old time. We now know it's very similar to the Apple Vision Pro, but its capacity for gaming has a lot more potential, not least because it has controllers you can buy separately. Running on Android, though, it has access to a lot of games, and Google is adding an entirely new XR section to the Play Store, which will mean more immersive VR games will run natively on it thanks to Meta's Horizon OS already being a version of Android and having a lot of compatible games. Galaxy XR will also be able to link up with a PC or laptop, so you can play games on it that way too.

The day it launched, Meta was quick to give its Quest 3S headsets a $50 discount, which didn't last too long, but it speaks to my point that the market is about to get very competitive.

Still, that leaves room for PSVR 2, Pico 4 Ultra, and the Meta Quest devices to make a play this November, and I think there's no better way to get competitive when a new rival enters the arena than offering people a big price cut.
