The PS5 is now five years old, so there's a ton of physical games, controllers, headsets, SSDs, and more that have regularly seen some hefty savings over the years, and the recent US price hikes have put a bigger importance than ever on grabbing PS5 goodies for a bargain.
Last year, the newly improved PS5 Pro launched just before the best Black Friday gaming deals started to drop. Surprisingly, this resulted in some UK retailers shaving off cash from the new Sony console, which is almost unheard of when it comes to fancy new tech. This month will mark a whole year since the PS5 Pro launched, and two years since the launch of the PlayStation Portal, so it's highly likely both could be the talk of the town again, where discounts are concerned.

Black Friday officially begins on Friday, November 28, a day earlier than last year. You can also expect the best Black Friday PS5 deals to start popping up at the start of that week, and as early as October (if 2024 and 2023 are anything to go by). What to expect from Black Friday PS5 deals in 2025
There's bound to be plenty of Black Friday PS5 deals in 2025, especially if last year was anything to go by. November 2024 was full of savings on brand-new games, controllers, headsets, PS5 SSDS, and of course - the PS5 itself, which hopefully is a sign of things to come. However, things are off to an awkward start this year, where the US is concerned. The PS5 price hikes mean that discounts on the console itself (including bundles) won't be as alluring. Sony popped an extra $50 on the Slim and Pro models, so if you're after the console itself, making sure the saving is at least $50 or greater is the way to go. Fortunately, PlayStation officially announced its upcoming Black Friday and Cyber Monday deal plans and states that there will be $100 off all PS5 consoles, which does help cushion the blow of the recent wave of price hikes.
A brand-new PS5 bundle will also be available during this year's sales. You'll be able to grab the 825GB Fortnite Flowering Chaos Bundle in the US, with its $399.99 MSRP, and the 1TB Fortnite Flowering Chaos Bundle available for $449.99. Both include in-game goodies for Fortnite, along with 1,000 V-Bucks. However, these bundles will remain exclusive to the official PlayStation store until November 26, 2026.
Grabbing one of the best SSD deals is a great alternative if the console and bundle discounts aren't for you. Last year, SSDs from the biggest names in the business, from Samsung, Corsair, and Western Digital all saw their own fair share of savings. There weren't a ton of record lows, but grabbing 2TB worth of storage at a discount will still be cheaper than forking out for a PS5 Pro.
Of course, if we see a repeat of the kind of Black Friday savings we saw last year, expect to see record-low price drops on the latest games. A ton of 2024 releases, like Metaphor: ReFantazio, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, and even Astro Bot saw their best savings so far, so some 2025 games are bound to follow suit. This year, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, Ghost of Yotei, and Silent Hill f are primed to see big savings.
If you're happy with your PS5 and already have plenty to play, Black Friday 2025 won't be shy about savings on the best PS5 accessories. PlayStation officially announced that you can expect a whole range of discounts on accessories, including $100 / £90 off PlayStation VR2, a rare $20 / £20 discount off the PlayStation Portal, and most interestingly, discounts on both the DualSense and the DualSense Edge controller. The latter of which rarely sees any budges off of its $199.99 MSRP, so the fact it's getting a $30 / £30 price cut when the deals go live from November 21 onwards is a treat for Sony gaming fans.
If you fancy yourself some third-party alternatives, I'd keep an eye on the Victrix Pro BFG or the Nacon Revolution 5 Pro instead. The Victrix Pro BFG is our top PS5 controller, and it's already dropped to $119.99 on the lead up to Black Friday, a saving I hope gets even bigger once November 28 officially rolls around. Talking of third-party PS5 accessories, headsets are also the ones to watch this November. The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5P dropped to under $100 last year. It's one of the best PS5 headsets you can pop on your head, and with SteelSeries being a regular fixture of Black Friday, I suspect it'll see similar savings this time around.
