Early Black Friday Pokemon card deals 2025, with the best offers so far

4. FAQ
There are just a few days away until 2025's Black Friday Pokemon card deals officially get underway, but no-one seems to have told Amazon that. The retailer has gone ahead and kicked off the sale now, so it's time for a training montage where you prepare to become the very best (the best there ever was) at grabbing price cuts. The GamesRadar+ Master Trainers and I are here to coach you through every step of the sale, and we'll be furnishing this guide with all the price cuts we've found so far too. Don't say we never do anything for you.
It's certainly worth watching out for, anyway. Although they're not going to be as steep as the discounts on tech like laptops or TVs, Black Friday Pokemon card deals are still a great way of boosting your collection for a lot less than normal - particularly if you're happy with older expansions or box sets. Indeed, gift sets for one of the best card games (like the Charizard statue pack from last year) get especially steep savings across the period. That makes it a golden opportunity if you're tracking down presents.
Naturally, we'll also be adding savings as and when we find them closer to the time. Black Friday Pokemon card deals tend to start emerging from the long grass around about now, so it's worth bookmarking this page and popping back to see what's cracking as the big day approaches.

Phantasmal Flames Charizard X Ex Ultra Premium Collection | $204.99 at Walmart
It's not being flagged on Walmart as a deal, but this is around $5 less than I've seen the same pack at Miniature Market (which is out of stock now anyway) and nearly $20 less than the Amazon equivalent. In other words, this is by far the best value offer you'll find right about now.
Buy it if:
✅ You want the best start to Phantasmal Flames
✅ You'd love a new playmat and accessories
Don't buy it if:
❌ You want to go ham for boosters

💲 Amazon | $220.90

Phantasmal Flames Booster Bundle | $49.99 at Miniature Market
This is still more expensive than MSRP and isn't listed as a saving, but because the Bundle is so hard to find (and goes for around $79ish everywhere else), this is practically a bargain. It keeps dropping in cost as well, becoming cheaper and cheaper each time I look at it.
Buy it if:
✅ You want to make your own decks
✅ You'd like to stay caught up on the latest set
Don't buy it if:
❌ You want as many boosters as possible
Price check:
💲 Amazon | $51.08
UK price: £49.99 £23.94 at Amazon

Gomyrod Card Storage | $39.99 $26.40 at Amazon
Save $14 - We have a record low price ahead of this year's Black Friday Pokemon card deals! This well-received storage case hasn't ever been cheaper than it is now, so it's good timing if you were on the hunt for a deck box.
Buy it if:
✅ You have a lot of cards to store
✅ You want something hard-wearing
Don't buy it if:
❌ You don't have many cards

UK price: £60.30 at Amazon

Mega Evolution Elite Trainer Box | $99.99 $79.95 at Amazon
Save $20 - First up, yes, this is still above MSRP so that "discount" is a little less impressive than it may first appear. But seeing as it's practically impossible to find for less elsewhere (I've certainly not been able to), I'd consider giving it a go ahead of Black Friday.
Buy it if:
✅ You want the best start to Mega Evolution
✅ You'd prefer to stay up to date with sets
Don't buy it if:
❌ You'd rather wait for a real price cut
Price check:
💲 Walmart | $79.95
UK price: £44.99 at Amazon

Pokemon TCG Playmat | $29.99 $23.99 at Amazon
Save $6 - It's not a huge price cut, but that's still an official Black Friday saving so we're unlikely to see anything better. This sturdy, hard-wearing mat should see you through everything from casual to competitive play too.
Buy it if:
✅ You'd like a premium playmat
✅ You play competitively/on the go
Don't buy it if:
❌ You'd prefer a smaller design

Black Bolt Tech Sticker Collection | $36.99 $29.38 at Amazon
Save $7 - It's not a huge price cut, but I'm struggling to find anything better right now ahead of this year's Black Friday Pokemon card deals. It's not too far from the record low price of $24.99, either.
Buy it if:
✅ You love Reuniclus
✅ You're looking for a gift
Don't buy it if:
❌ You're not really fussed about Reuniclus

💲 Walmart | $39

Journey Together Build & Battle Box | $33 at Walmart
It isn't listed at Walmart as a discount, but this is a couple dollars cheaper than the alternative at Amazon... which is apparently down from $44.99. Either way, it's arguably the best value you're likely to find.
Buy it if:
✅ You like the core trainer/Pokemon idea
✅ You're happy being a couple sets behind
Don't buy it if:
❌ You want more recent sets
Price check:
💲 Amazon | $36.89
UK price: Unavailable

Destined Rivals Build & Battle Box | $39.95 at Walmart
Here's another one that doesn't seem like a discount at first, but then you look elsewhere and see that the item in question is much more expensive at rival retailers. It's almost $50 at Amazon, for instance.
Buy it if:
✅ You want to dive into games
✅ You have a soft spot for Team Rocket
Don't buy it if:
❌ You'd rather get boosters in bulk
Price check:
💲 Amazon | $50.99
UK price: £57.41 at Amazon
What to expect from Black Friday Pokemon card deals 2025
The Pokemon TCG doesn't enjoy big discounts very often, so Black Friday Pokemon card deals should definitely be on your radar in 2025. But what exactly will get a reduction? And what should you prioritize when the time comes?
Because the team and I have been writing about the sale for years, we've rustled up a few predictions based on previous trends. Here's our expert opinion on what to expect from 2025's Black Friday Pokemon deals.

🎁 Elite Trainer boxes will lead the charge
It's a fair bet that Elite Trainer Boxes (which feature a handful of booster packs, a special card, card sleeves, and more) will get excellent price cuts in 2025. They typically enjoy some of the best discounts during Black Friday each year, so I don't expect that pattern to change now.

🃏 Booster boxes should get the biggest reductions
You know those massive booster boxes, featuring hundreds of cards? They get the most tempting price cuts in terms of actual money off. That's because they're the most expensive to begin with, but it also means Black Friday is your best chance to dive in if your budget is able to stretch.

➕ Giftware and accessories will get good (if modest) savings
Battle Decks with premade sets, limited packs such as the Charizard ex Collection, gift sets (the kind with pins or exclusive cards), and third-party accessories are contenders for a saving. Indeed, I saw plenty of them go on offer last year, and accessories in particular fill the listing pages on Amazon.

❌ There's going to be a lot of third-party roundups
Black Friday seems like an opportunity for third-party sellers to come out of the woodwork. A lot of card bundles and roundups will appear to be on sale, but I'd suggest proceeding with caution - there's no way to tell what you're getting, or if it's legit.

🏫 Battle Academy always goes on offer
If you're a newcomer, you should definitely check out the Pokemon Battle Academy box this Black Friday. It's a super effective introduction (apologies, it was too tempting) to the game itself and gives you everything you need to play right away. Because it often gets a price cut and has been reduced during Black Friday before, I'd say to keep an eye on it as we enter the November sales season.
Black Friday Pokemon card deals FAQ
When will Black Friday Pokemon card deals begin?
This year's Black Friday Pokemon card deals will officially take place on November 28, 2025. This is the final Friday of November, as is tradition.
However, that doesn't mean the sale is limited to a single day. Oh heavens, no. Black Friday starts earlier and earlier each year (unofficially, at least) and rolls into early December, at which point the discounts become 'Cyber Monday' deals. Based on previous years, I'd anticipate 2025's bargains to emerge from the long grass a week or two before Black Friday itself.
Does Pokemon go on sale during Black Friday?
Pokemon absolutely does get in on the Black Friday sale, offering discounts on toys, video games, and more.
While the Pokemon Trading Card Game didn't used to enjoy reductions at this time of year, that's now changed as well. These days, the Black Friday Pokemon card deals provide money off everything from massive booster boxes to Elite Trainer Boxes.
Where will I find the best Black Friday Pokemon card deals?
Even though Amazon is always a good bet when it comes to Black Friday Pokemon card deals, the likes of Walmart are often pretty great for discounts. That was certainly the case last year, so I have high hopes for 2025.
Unfortunately, everyone's cottoned on to this fact and the shelves are stripped bare pretty fast. That means you'll need to be fast if you want to catch 'em all - OK, fine, I'll stop with the Pokejokes now.
Here are the retailers I tend to keep an eye on:
USA
- Amazon: A reliable choice
- Miniature Market: Regular sales
- Walmart: Offers surprising range
- Best Buy: Plenty of boxsets
UK
- Amazon: Traditionally great offers
- Magic Madhouse: Good for individual cards
- Zatu: Reliable source of discounts
There are plenty of other offers to choose from, including Black Friday board game deals and Black Friday Lego deals.
