Black Friday gaming deals are officially here even though the actual date is still a week away. So bookmark this page and keep coming back: we'll be keeping it updated through the rest of November and the start of December.

The year has seen the Nintendo Switch 2 launch, multiple Xbox price increases from Microsoft and the continued selling of the PS5 Pro, and Black Friday gaming deals could see reductions across the board for these consoles. And that's not to mention all the fantastic games that've released this year that you might be waiting to try.

Early Black Friday PS5 deals

PlayStation DualSense Edge PS5 controller
Save AU$90.95
PlayStation DualSense Edge PS5 controller: was AU$339.95 now AU$249 at Amazon

Sony's brilliant yet exorbitantly priced premium DualSense is a fine piece of kit, and this discount - albeit no record breaker - makes it ever more tempting. It has replaceable analog sticks, four back "paddle" buttons, changeable stick caps and a bunch of other lavish features that you'll regret not having once you've held one of these in hand.

PlayStation Portal
Save AU$19.95
PlayStation Portal: was AU$329.95 now AU$310 at Amazon
Read moreRead less

A price increase sees the PlayStation Portal close to full price, but let's not scoff at any savings. It's an excellent Remote Play handheld with DualSense functionality, which makes up for the fact that you could otherwise just use a cheaper controller attached to your phone. If you want one, you want one.

  Battlefield 6
Save AU$40.95
Battlefield 6: was AU$109.95 now AU$69 at Amazon

Widely considered a return to form, Battlefield 6 reviewed very well when it launched last month. Now, just weeks later, many major retailers are offering a huge discount on the RRP of AU$109.95. Whether you're keen to jump in on the multiplayer action, or are just curious about the campaign, this is a significant discount for a game that only released recently. It was down to AU$59 earlier in the week, but this is still great value.

  Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Save AU$50
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: was AU$99 now AU$49 at JB Hi-Fi

A substantial discount on what could be the best RPG of 2025 (don't read this, Clair Obscur). If you love your RPGs unforgiving and almost-sim-like in their dedication to reality, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is absolutely essential. It's also one of the most gorgeous games on PS5.

  Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Save AU$25
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33: was AU$84 now AU$59 at JB Hi-Fi

Arguably this year's greatest RPG gets a big discount ahead of Black Friday proper. For AU$59 this is an absolute steal, and our review bears that out: "an outstanding visionary debut from Sandfall Interactive", Alan Wen wrote. Definitely a good one to have ahead of the summer holidays.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
Save AU$30
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater: was AU$109 now AU$79 at JB Hi-Fi

This 2025 remake of the PlayStation 2 classic is pretty obviously essential for Metal Gear fans, but it's also an excellent way to make first contact with Kojima's conspiratorial universe. This is a great price for one of the year's strongest releases.

  Ghost of Yōtei
Save AU$30.95
Ghost of Yōtei: was AU$124.95 now AU$94 at Amazon
Read moreRead less

This is only borderline a deal: AU$99 is what Amazon is charging as a matter of course for this new PS5 exclusive, undercutting most of the competition by at least AU$10. If you're after another sumptuous open world in the prestige Sony mould, and loved Ghost of Tsushima, this is worth investigation.

  Borderlands 4
Save AU$50.95
Borderlands 4: was AU$119.95 now AU$69 at Amazon

Gearbox's newest open world looter shooter gets a tidy discount in the months after launch, despite Randy Pitchford suggesting it wouldn't happen.

Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon
Save AU$40
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon: was AU$69 now AU$29 at JB Hi-Fi

Knowing they're onto a good thing, Bandai Namco rarely offer up steep discounts on FromSoftware games. Which makes this deal on Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon well worth taking note of if you've been hungering for a mech brawler. I adored this game and so did all the critics.

  Mafia The Old Country
Save AU$30.95
Mafia The Old Country: was AU$89.95 now AU$59 at Amazon
Read moreRead less

If you're after a gorgeous crime drama set in early 20th century Italy, you could do much worse than Mafia The Old Country. This one's also good if you're over the trappings of modern blockbuster open world games: sure, there's a big ol' map, but this one keeps things very story focused.

  Monster Hunter Wilds
Save AU$15
Monster Hunter Wilds: was AU$44 now AU$29 at JB Hi-Fi
Read moreRead less

Although the ticket price on this is AU$44 now, it was at least AU$89 upon release back in March, so AU$29 is pretty extraordinarily cheap for a 2025 title. Sure, it's proven divisive, but if you're a fan of the series or have a crew who want to stab a bunch of monsters to death in a pretty open world, it's a good time.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2
Save AU$20
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2: was AU$84 now AU$64 at Amazon
Read moreRead less

Bloodlines 2 has been divisive, and our review was unambiguously on the negative side. Still, among people who've waited so long for this sequel, there will be a desire to play it anyway, and this is about the best price we've seen for the modern vampire RPG. We called it "a boring, linear action brawler" but maybe you will call it a "masterpiece"? (Doubtful, but let's see.)

  Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed
Save AU$70.95
Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed: was AU$99.95 now AU$29 at Amazon

A brilliant and innovative platformer with a lot of old school Disney charm, and it's the kind of game that makes an easy Christmas gift for PS5 owners young and old.

Early Black Friday Nintendo deals

Nintendo Switch 2

Nintendo Switch 2: was AU$699.95 now AU$639 at Amazon

Amazon is flogging the vanilla Nintendo Switch 2 - which is to say, the non-bundle version - for 9 percent beneath RRP. Which isn't a lot on paper! And this is by no means the best Switch 2 deal we've seen, but if you're in the market and need one now, it's a nice bonus saving.

Nintendo Switch Mario Kart World bundle
Save AU$53.50
Nintendo Switch Mario Kart World bundle: was AU$768.50 now AU$715 at Amazon

A decent cut off this Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle, which is probably the most sensible purchase for any Switch 2 player since everyone needs a Mario Kart in their world.

  Pokémon Legends: Z-A
Save AU$30.95
Pokémon Legends: Z-A: was AU$109.95 now AU$79 at Amazon

Amazon has carved a welcome 19% off the RRP for this new Pokémon game. It's the first in the series to release natively for Nintendo Switch 2 (though it's coming to the older Switch too) so expect proceedings to be sharper and smoother than the famously ropey Scarlet & Violet. This one ditches turn-based combat for a live-action approach that's reminiscent of the Xenoblade Chronicles games.

Early gaming chair Black Friday deals

Secretlab Titan Evo
Simply the best
Secretlab Titan Evo: was AU$879 now AU$749 at Secretlab

The Titan Evo came "highly recommended" when we reviewed it upon launch in 2021, and the same holds true in 2025. It's definitely the best Secretlab you can get, with great build quality, easy assembly and lots of adjustability. If you want to save even more on the Titan Evo, you can even buy a themed chair that's on clearance, such as this Final Fantasy XIV-themed version for AU$729.

This plan has an advertised typical evening speed of 500 Mbps downloads and 40 Mbps uploads, which means it offers consistent download rates even during peak hour.

<p>Spintel's offering a very affordable AU$64 introductory offer that lasts six months (after which, it goes up to AU$86.95p/m). If you want to try their NBN 1000 offering, that's also available at a discount: AU$89 per month for six months, before rising to AU$99.95 on an ongoing basis.

Black Friday gaming deals - FAQ

When will Black Friday gaming deals start in Australia?

The sales event of the year traditionally takes place toward the end of November - to be precise, the final Friday of the month. That means you can expect 2025's Black Friday gaming deals to occur on November 28.

However, they won't be limited to that one day. Black Friday kicks off much earlier than you might expect, and it continues into the following week as well (at which point the savings morph into Cyber Monday gaming deals). That means you should start keeping an eye out from mid-November - while the best discounts are reserved for Black Friday itself, lots of good ones will make an appearance before then.

Where will the best Black Friday gaming deals be?

Almost everyone tries to get in on Black Friday each year, so you can be sure that any retailer you visit will have price cuts of some description. Still, some are better than others. In our experience, these are the stores to prioritize:

Amazon: big variety of deals on consoles, games, toys and more
eBay: Coupons for extra discounts on peripherals and games
Fanatical: Steam keys, bundle game offers and more
Green Man Gaming: Variety of games for PC, Mac and console
HP: Peripherals and gaming laptops direct from HP
JB Hi-Fi: Nintendo, Xbox and PlayStation consoles, games and more
Lego: Find a variety of sets including the Pac-Man Arcade
Lenovo: Find monitors, peripherals and more primed for gaming
Mighty Ape: Find collectables, games and more
Mwave: Controllers, gaming laptops, monitors and more
Razer: Shop Razer peripherals and laptops straight from the source

Should you wait for Black Friday gaming deals?

Yes, you should definitely hold fire on any purchases until Black Friday gaming deals kick off at the end of November. Like all tech, games get significant price cuts throughout the event and many items hit all-time lows. That includes everything from the latest PS5 titles to Xbox consoles, so there's little benefit to jumping the gun here.

However, on the flip-side of that, you'll need to be quick when the sales roll around. They can sell out quickly, and many form blink-and-you'll-miss-it 'Lightning Deals' on Amazon. In other words, stay alert throughout the week of Black Friday - getting the best reductions will depend on it.
