Best Black Friday 4K 120Hz TV deals 2025: early offers and what to expect
If you're a gamer, the Black Friday 4K 120Hz TV deals are going to be some of the best discounts to look at when the sales season begins again. It's time to prepare for your living room upgrade with a high-res, high-refresh-rate panel.
Black Friday falls on November 28 this year, but like in past years, we'll probably see discounts begin way ahead of time. TV sets are often some of the most highly-discounted deals during Black Friday, especially 4K 120Hz ones for gaming, and so it's a great time to keep your eyes peeled for a discount.
Year on year, 4K and 120Hz TVs have become more prolific as newer consoles support the visual output, and as the price of these sets slowly reduces. These screens won't suit everyone, but they definitely help add an extra layer of responsiveness and immersion to competitive games, which explains why they've grown in popularity over the past few years.
You'll already see some 4K 120Hz TV Black Friday deals making the rounds online, so here are some of the highlights so far ahead of next weekend's event alongside buying advice to help you prep..

Hisense 65U65QF 65-inch | $847.99 $547.99 at Amazon
Save $300 - Hisense is always up for a Black Friday discount, and seeing this larger 65-inch panel drop to a new record low has got the party started. I don't think we'll see this model go for any lower in 2025, but y'know, I'm not going to say no to an extra cut.

LG QNED 85T 55-inch | $699.99 $498 at Walmart
Save $200 - LG's take on QLED is now under $500 at Walmart, and it's a decent deal for those of you seeking a faster refresh rate at a lower price. I typically see this mode for between $500-600 with a discount, so we're certainly in lowest price territory.

LG OLED B5 48-inch | $1,299.99 $549.99 at Best Buy
Save $750 - This specific B range of LG OLED TVs rarely stays at full price for long, but under $550 is absolutely the discount I want to see ahead of Black Friday. I reckon this represents how low the bar will actually go during the sale, and I don't think there's any real risk with picking this up early.

TCL QM7K 55-Inch | $899.99 $597.99 at Amazon
Save $302- This QD Mini LED TV is new to 2025, and while it's more expensive than TCLs other models, over $300 off is now helping you get the more premium model for less. If you're itching for an upgrade, but don't want to splash out fully on an OLED, this could be a solid option.

Hisense QD7 75-Inch | $799.99 $597.99 at Amazon
Save $202 - What's this? A 75-inch TV for the same price as the TCL model above? Why yes, and both are QLED panels. The smaller screen is Quantum Dot, which helps explain why it's just as expensive as a larger model, but you'll be getting a pretty similar 4K 144Hz experience.

Save $150 - The new OLED C5 is currently under $1,000 at Amazon, and while this is the 42-inch version, it's sure to suit players with smaller spaces that want extra vibrancy. Deals on the latest LG flagships can be unpredictable, so while it is worth waiting for Black Friday to see what happens, I wouldn't write off offers like this.

4K 120Hz Black Friday TV deals: What do we expect
Let's kick off the discussion with mid-range TV deals, as the majority of you out there will be looking to spend under $1,000. We can do one better than that, as we stumbled across an 55-inch 144Hz Hisense U7K last year for just $479.99 at Best Buy. TCL rose to that challenge by slashing its Q7 display down from $999.99 to $648, which is a fantastic price considering it applied to the 65-inch version.
If you're hellbent on picking up an OLED TV for less, you'll want to keep a close eye on the LG OLED B3. Now that the new B4 is available, the 120Hz screen should drop lower than last year, beating its previous $999.99 Black Friday offer. Those of you willing to spend a bit more should also keep the LG OLED C3 in mind, as it's about time it dropped to an all-new record low.
Of course, those of you who already know they're picking up the LG OLED G4 this year will want to wait. When the time comes, you might be tempted to go for the older OLED G3 model, and if the price is just right, doing so could be a wiser move. That's dependent on whether the stock actually sticks around till December, but if we see any incredible clearance offers, we'll be sure to let you know.
What you will want to be wary of is TV's showing up with a faux 120Hz mode. This can happen when specifically using search bars to find higher refresh rate models, as some panels use tricks to simulate the effect of faster speeds. Each brand will use its own terminology for the feature, with Sony traditionally calling it "Motionflow," but it effectively uses techniques that can come with latency caveats. Simply put, you won't be using a native 120Hz display in these instances, which isn't ideal for gaming.
Some TVs also trade resolution to achieve 120Hz, meaning they step down from 4K to 1080p. This might be a decent option for anyone playing Overwatch 2 on PS5 or Xbox Series X since the game dips to 1440p and scales back up to UHD to hit 120fps. You will absolutely notice a difference in terms of fidelity, but considering these models can come in at under $300, it could be a way to save money.
Should you wait for the 4K 120Hz TV Black Friday deals?
You don't necessarily have to wait right until November if you see a great offer today. Of course, the likelihood is that there will be more chances than at any other point in the year to get a cracking deal during Black Friday.
You will often find retailers and manufacturers going early in November with their deals, spreading them over a longer period of time nowadays, so your time to strike could come early. It's all dependant on whether you are happy to wait until November to save some cash or would prefer to take the plunge now and enjoy the benefits.
Do 4K 120Hz TV prices drop on Black Friday?
Not only do we see almost all TV prices drop during Black Friday (slight exaggeration, but you know what I mean), but we're going to see some of them – like the 4K 120Hz beasts – drop the hardest. These are going to be some of the best price drops going as it's a spec that's rapidly become the norm over the past couple of years, and those most premium TVs that throw in loads of other bells and whistles will drop the hardest.
Is 120Hz needed for PS5?
You don't need an 120Hz TV to play PS5, but pairing the new gen console with a high refresh screen will unlock its potential. In supported games like Overwatch 2, you'll be able to experience faster, more responsive visuals with a high frame rate to boot. However, keep in mind that only selected releases support 120Hz, and many PS5 games reduce resolution to 1440p to boost fps.
Why are 120Hz TVs so expensive?
High refresh screens normally cost substantially more than their 60Hz counterparts, and that's largely because they're more expensive to produce. That's not to say you can't pick up an 120Hz screen for less, but you'll normally end up having to trade away other specs to keep prices low.
Is 60Hz vs 120Hz noticeable?
Most players will notice a difference between 60Hz and 120Hz. Displays with a latter refresh rate update on screen frames twice as fast compared to conventional models, which matters if you're playing games with a higher frame rate. If you're into competitive shooters, this will make all the difference, as your movement will feel more responsive as a result.
